Summary
Klaviyo Expert who owns the technical execution and the final quality gate for retention marketing
About us
The Marketing Collective is a boutique done-for-you retention marketing agency for German-speaking e-commerce brands. We run Klaviyo
Every brand is served by a three-person pod: the Brand Manager writes the copy, the Designer designs the
What you'll do
Execution (the majority of the work)
- Set up campaigns in Klaviyo: segments and exclusions, UTM tracking, Smart Sending, promo code verification, campaign tagging
- Run our full 18-item pre-send QA checklist (links, buttons, mobile, dark mode, dynamic variables, file size, segments, send time) and schedule the send
- Build flows: triggers, flow and profile filters, conditional/trigger splits; QA with our checklist, set live, and review 24-48h after launch
- Implement, QA, and schedule WhatsApp campaigns in Chatarmin/Charles
- Own the technical setup and go-live of signup forms: end-to-end submission testing, GDPR/CAN-SPAM compliance (the Designer owns the visual build)
- Set up A/B tests, check functionality, document results
- Clone, QA, and schedule translated campaign versions
- Light
Strategy and maintenance
- Create flow briefings that fully inform the Brand Manager (copy) and Designer (visual direction)
- Develop segmentation strategies along our frameworks (VIP, engagement, lifecycle, product affinity), e.g. for BFCM
- Analyze performance in Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and BI tools; make data-driven recommendations
- Weekly Klaviyo monitor checks and monthly health checks for every client: deliverability, list hygiene, suppression, integration errors
Coordination
- Daily ClickUp check-ins; Slack communication with the team and in client channels
- Give the Designer feedback on asset quality; create and update SOPs
The standard we hold
- 100% pre-send QA completion: the checklist runs in full, every time, no exceptions
- Zero critical QA misses per month (broken links, wrong promo codes, missing unsubscribe link, wrong segment, broken mobile rendering, blank dynamic variables)
- 95%+ on-time sends
- When a mistake happens, you own it, document the root cause, and facilitate a process update so it does not happen twice
What you bring
- 2-3+ years in digital marketing, ideally e-commerce
- 1-2+ years hands-on Klaviyo: building flows, running campaigns, managing multiple accounts
- Extreme attention to detail with excellent follow-through - the single most important trait for this role
- Strong technical judgement in Klaviyo: flow logic, Smart Sending vs Smart Send Time, deliverability, segmentation
- Comfortable working in German-language accounts and QA-ing translated copy against the copy doc (native German NOT required; we work with AI tools and client confirmation)
- Well-versed in GDPR and CAN-SPAM
- Proactive and self-managed: you run a portfolio of accounts with minimal supervision (you start at 2-3 accounts and ramp to 8-10)
- Full-time availability (40 hrs/week) with working-hour overlap with European (CET) business hours
Nice to have
- Chatarmin/Charles, Shopify, Google Analytics
- Figma or Canva for light
- AI tools for QA, briefings, and translation
- KnoCommerce, Decify, Typeform (surveys); Sendtric (countdown timers)
Why work with us
- Long-term role: our tea

- Supportive remote team with clear systems and SOPs, experienced and empathetic leadership
- No hustle culture: if you are good at your job, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week is enough to do exceptional work - and we hire ahead so it stays that way
