I am looking for a creative editor with strong storytelling instincts who can identify powerful ---------- nts within raw footage and understand what makes content engaging to watch.

This role may begin as part time hours, with the opportunity to increase for the right candidate.

Beauty industry experience is highly preferred, however exceptional applicants from adjacent industries will also be considered.

ABOUT THE ROLE

I create content for beauty businesses, cosmetic nurses, PMU artists, as well as capturing weddings, events and beauty educator masterclasses.

While technical editing skills are important, I am ultimately looking for someone who can think beyond transitions, captions and effects.

The successful applicant will understand:

- Storytelling
- Human emotion
- Audience attention
- Social media retention
- Visual communication
- Content pacing

You should naturally notice details that others miss.

For example:

- The subtle smile that tells a stronger story than the obvious shot.
- The emotional reaction worth keeping.
- The exact ---------- nt a transformation becomes impactful.
- When a clip should stay on screen longer to allow the audience to process it.
- When an overlay strengthens a message versus becoming distracting.

- Strong storytelling ability
- Exceptional attention to detail
- High level content instincts
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Confidence making creative decisions
- Ability to identify the strongest ---------- nts within raw footage
- Understanding of pacing, emotion and viewer attention
- CapCut experience preferred

I am looking for someone who can explain WHY they made editing decisions, not simply follow instructions as every edit is different and relies on intuition.
