Job Description: Technical Support Specialist (Independent Contractor)
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor
Work Schedule: 20-40 hours per week
Flexible hours with some overlap during AEST business hours for real-time collaboration (8am - 4pm AEST)
Who We Are
Pipereply is a fast-growing Software-With-A-Service (SWaS) company working exclusively with Australian solar and trade businesses.
We help our clients automate operations, streamline customer communication, and integrate the tools that power their business, all through a highly customised CRM platform built on Go High Level (GHL), enhanced with custom automations, API integrations, and AI assistants.
We’re a remote-first team with a relaxed, no-BS culture. We set clear targets, maintain high standards, and value long-term relationships with both clients and teammates.
Our mission is simple:
Help Australian solar and trade companies scale more efficiently by combining automation, AI, and integrations to give them a competitive edge.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Technical Support Specialist with a developer’s mindset - someone who doesn’t just log problems but digs in, traces issues to the source, and understands cause and effect.
You’ll be the first line of technical support for our growing CRM and automation platform. Expect to troubleshoot workflow bugs, integration failures, form logic quirks, and the occasional edge case that requires real debugging skills.
At Pipereply, we want proactive problem-solvers who use AI as a tool, not a crutch. If your instinct is to let AI do all the thinking, this is not the role for you.
We’re Looking for People Who:
- Combine AI with independent critical thinking
- Understand the limits and risks of AI tools
- Always cross-check AI output before acting
- Spot the subtle problems AI might miss
- Have experience with OpenAI or Anthropic (bonus), but above all, think clearly and logically
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for Go High Level (GHL): workflows, automations, integrations, and user-facing glitches
- Investigate user-reported problems, trace logic across workflows, and pinpoint root causes with minimal direction
- Configure, test, and refine automations, triggers, forms, and custom workflows
- Collaborate with internal development and implementation teams to escalate bugs and contribute to solutions
- Test and verify updates before release - propose improvements, not just quick fixes
- Maintain internal documentation and contribute to our knowledge base
- Suggest platform performance and UX improvements based on real-world insights
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience with Go High Level (GHL) - support, automation, or technical configuration
- Developer’s mindset - able to debug, trace logic, and reverse-engineer automation failures
- 2+ years in a technical support or SaaS/CRM environment
- Strong written English for clear client communication
- Comfortable working with Twilio, Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and Slack
- Self-starter who digs into problems without waiting for step-by-step instructions
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
- 100% Remote role
- Must be available during core AEST hours for collaboration and daily stand-ups
- Independent contractor engagement (not an employee role)
- Disclose any other ongoing roles or clients
- Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn (as an Independent Contractor)
