Revenue Accountant / Billing Analyst
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 AM EST, with a 1-hour break
Salary: $1300
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Revenue Accountant / Billing Analyst to support our Finance team in a fast-paced digital media environment. This role will play a critical part in client billing, contract review, revenue tracking, collections support, and month-end close procedures.
The ideal candidate is someone with a strong accounting foundation who is also highly detail-oriented and comfortable owning the revenue / accounts receivable process from end to end to include reviewing client contracts, completing client administrative requests, identifying billing terms, and ensuring revenue is recognized and invoiced accurately. This role requires both analytical thinking and operational precision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review client contracts, SOWs, IOs, and billing terms to ensure accurate invoicing and revenue tracking
• Maintain billing schedules and monitor contract deliverables, milestones, and payment terms
• Prepare and issue client invoices accurately and timely
• Track accounts receivable balances and support collections follow-up as needed
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and contract questions
• Assist with revenue reconciliations and month-end close procedures
• Review deferred revenue schedules and revenue recognition support files
• Maintain organized documentation for audit support and internal controls
• Assist with commission support calculations and revenue reporting schedules
• Support process improvements and help build scalable billing/accounting workflows
• Ensure data accuracy across accounting systems, trackers, and reporting tools
• Flag contract inconsistencies, missing approvals, or billing risks proactively
• Create and manage revenue project IDs in Xero and prepare monthly revenue reports
Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–6+ years of accounting, billing, revenue accounting, or AR experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition concepts
• Experience reviewing contracts, billing terms, or client agreements preferred
• Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets proficiency
• Experience working in fast-paced or high-volume environments
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Experience:
• Media, advertising, agency, SaaS, or project-based billing experience
• Experience with Xero, NetSuite, Ramp, or similar accounting tools
• Experience supporting US-based companies or finance teams
• Familiarity with commission calculations and client revenue tracking
• Prior experience working in an offshore/shared services environment preferred
