About the Role

Waste Solution Services is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance team. The ideal candidate has strong data entry skills, experience with accounting or billing, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors to resolve questions or discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately enter invoices, credit memos, and payment data into the accounting system

Review invoices for accuracy and proper approvals

Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues, request documentation, or clarify account details

Process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires)

Reconcile vendor statements and maintain up-to-date account records

Assist with month-end closing tasks as needed

Support the finance team with additional administrative or accounting tasks

Qualifications:

1–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, billing, or general accounting

Strong data entry accuracy and organizational skills

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with vendors

Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.) preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic spreadsheet functions

Ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
