About 3D Walkabout

3D Walkabout is an Australian 3D scanning and digital modelling company delivering high-quality scan-to-BIM, as-built documentation, CAD, 3D modelling, and digital twin solutions for clients across construction, architecture, engineering, manufacturing, renovation, and fabrication.

We work on a wide variety of projects, including building renovations, as-built surveys, product modelling, fabrication support, architectural documentation, and modelling from point clouds, 2D drawings, and drone imagery.

We are looking for a skilled BIM Modeller / Scan-to-BIM Specialist based in the Philippines to join our remote production team.

About the Role

You will be responsible for converting 3D scan data and point clouds into accurate BIM, CAD, and 3D model outputs. This role is ideal for someone with strong Revit, point cloud, CAD, and modelling experience who understands scan-to-BIM workflows and can work independently with Australian project requirements.

You may also assist with coordinating and quality-checking work produced by our existing offshore scan-to-BIM production partner in India.

Key Responsibilities

Your work may include:
- Scan-to-BIM modelling up to LOD 400
- Converting E57 point clouds to BIM / RVT
- Processing and cleaning point cloud data
- Converting E57 to RCP / ReCap
- Creating 2D DWG CAD drawings from E57 point clouds, including furniture and MEP elements
- Creating 3D models from 2D drawings
- Supporting as-built modelling for buildings, renovations, and fabrication projects
- Product and object modelling from scan data
- Photogrammetry and modelling from drone aerial imagery
- Reviewing and quality-checking BIM/CAD outputs from external production teams
- Coordinating modelling tasks with overseas production partners when required
- Maintaining high accuracy, clean file structure, and consistent modelling standards

Experience with point cloud data from any of the following scanners is highly regarded:
- Matterport Pro3
- Einscan Rigil
- Leica BLK360
- Trimble X7

You do not need to have operated all of these scanners, but you should be comfortable working with point cloud files and scan-based modelling workflows.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience in Autodesk Revit
- Experience with scan-to-BIM workflows
- Ability to work from E57, RCP, RCS, ASC, DWG, and RVT files
- Experience creating accurate as-built models from point clouds
- Good understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP modelling
- Ability to produce clean and accurate 2D CAD drawings
- Experience with Autodesk ReCap or similar point cloud processing software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow modelling standards and project instructions
- Good written English communication skills
- Ability to work remotely and manage deadlines independently

The following skills would be a strong advantage:
- Experience with LOD 300 to LOD 400 BIM modelling
- Experience managing or checking work from other BIM modellers
- Experience with offshore BIM production coordination
- Experience with fabrication modelling
- Experience converting ASC to STP / STEP
- Experience with mesh cleanup, reverse engineering, or product modelling
- Experience with drone photogrammetry workflows
- Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, Cyclone, CloudCompare, or similar tools
