JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Senior US Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in U.S. accounting, payroll, and tax preparation. In this role, you will work remotely with our team, supporting accounting operations, tax compliance, payroll processing, and financial reporting for U.S.-based businesses.

Key Qualifications

Must be a graduate of Accountancy or a related accounting/finance course.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience working with U.S.-based companies.
Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software is required.
Extensive experience with U.S. tax preparation for individuals and/or businesses.
Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll processing, payroll compliance, and related reporting requirements.
Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting records.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns using Lacerte Tax Software.
Manage and process U.S. payroll accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Maintain accurate financial records and perform account reconciliations.
Prepare financial reports, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and tax regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather required financial information.
Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
Support ongoing accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management activities.

Technical Requirements

Windows PC or Laptop with a minimum of 8GB RAM.
Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro.
Reliable internet connection.
Home office environment suitable for remote work.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA designation or equivalent certification is a plus.
Experience working with multiple U.S.-based clients.
Experience with additional accounting and tax software platforms.
Strong understanding of U.S. tax laws, payroll regulations, and accounting best practices.
