This is a fully remote position working closely with directors, registered managers and care home staff to ensure training, supervision, appraisal and competency processes are completed to a high standard for Farrington Care Homes.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Supervisions
Conduct regular staff supervisions via Microsoft Teams or telephone.
Complete supervision documentation and action plans.
Follow up on outstanding actions from previous meetings.
Escalate concerns to home managers where appropriate.
Annual Appraisals
Schedule and conduct 6 monthly staff appraisals.
Support staff development planning.
Identify training and development needs.
Maintain appraisal records and trackers.
Training Compliance
Manage and maintain training records across multiple care homes.
Monitor mandatory training compliance.
Track upcoming training renewals and expiries.
Liaise with managers to ensure compliance targets are achieved.
Coordinate enrolment onto training programmes.
Competency Management
Conduct knowledge-based competency assessments remotely.
Maintain competency records and trackers.
Coordinate practical competency observations with local managers.
Monitor competency renewal dates and outstanding assessments.
Workforce Administration
Maintain supervision, appraisal, competency and training databases.
Produce monthly compliance updates.
Schedule meetings and maintain accurate records.
Ensure all workforce development activities are completed within required timescales.
Requirements
Registered Nurse qualification preferred but not essential.
Previous experience in healthcare, social care, compliance, HR or workforce development.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Confident using Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams and cloud-based systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
High attention to detail.
Professional and confident communication skills.
Desirable
Experience working within care homes, healthcare or nursing environments.
Experience conducting appraisals, supervisions or staff development meetings.
Experience maintaining training matrices and compliance records.
Understanding of safeguarding and healthcare regulations.
