Schedule: US Central Time business hours (you must be available during Texas daytime so you can reach insurance companies)
The Job
You'll manage insurance authorizations for our ABA therapy clients. That means:
Submitting and tracking prior authorization requests for ABA services
Calling US insurance companies (Texas Medicaid MCOs, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, commercial payers) to check auth status, verify eligibility, and fix problems
Entering and updating data in CentralReach (authorizations, payer info, client records, service codes)
Watching authorization expiration dates and renewing before they lapse
Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility
Flagging denials and following up until they're resolved
Keeping accurate notes and following HIPAA rules
Requirements
Clear spoken and written English (you'll be on the phone with US insurance reps)
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable making outbound calls and waiting through long holds
Reliable internet, quiet workspace, good headset
Able to work US Central Time hours
Plus (mention if you have it):
CentralReach or other medical billing software experience
US healthcare / medical billing / insurance verification / prior auth background
ABA or behavioral health experience
