JOB OVERVIEW

Remote | Full Time Preferred

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Designer to create permit ready construction documents, coordinate engineering disciplines, and produce professional quality renderings for residential and light commercial projects.

This role is ideal for someone who understands construction, building systems, and permitting requirements, not just drafting.

Responsibilities

• Create complete architectural drawing packages from sketches, measurements, photos, and project scopes
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and site plans
• Produce permit ready construction documents
• Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans
• Revise plans based on municipal comments and permit requirements
• Create 3D models and photorealistic renderings
• Ensure drawings are accurate, buildable, and code compliant
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Requirements

• Strong experience producing permit ready residential or commercial construction plans
• Deep understanding of construction methods and building systems
• Ability to coordinate architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing drawings
• Experience with U.S. building codes and permitting processes (Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia).
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Software Experience

Proficiency in one or more of the following:

• Revit
• AutoCAD
• Chief Architect
• ArchiCAD
• SketchUp

Preferred Qualifications

• Structural design experience
• Engineering background
• Interior design experience
• Experience creating stamped drawing packages
• Experience with Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion, D5 Render, or similar rendering software
