JOB OVERVIEW

# B2B Cold Caller / Appointment Setter for U.S. Local Businesses

## Job Overview

We are hiring a B2B cold caller / appointment setter to call local businesses in the United States and book qualified appointments with business owners.

We work with plumbing and home service businesses. Our service helps these businesses capture missed and after-hours calls so they can book more jobs instead of losing leads to voicemail or slow follow-up.

Your job is to call business owners, ask simple qualification questions, and book appointments for our closer.

You are not responsible for closing the sale. Your job is to set quality appointments with interested business owners.

## Compensation

This role includes guaranteed hourly pay plus performance bonuses.

Paid trial:

**$3 USD per hour for the first 10 hours**

After successful trial:

**$4 USD per hour**

Performance bonuses:

**$12.5 USD for every qualified appointment that shows up**
**$50 USD for every appointment that becomes a closed, paid client**

A closed, paid client means the business owner attends the appointment, signs the agreement, and pays the first invoice.

Bonuses are paid after the appointment shows or after the client’s first payment is received.

## Daily Call Expectations

Expected ramp-up:

**Training period:** 75–100 dials per day
**Week 1:** 100–150 dials per day
**Week 2:** 150–200 dials per day
**Experienced target:** 200–300 dials per day depending on shift length and call quality

All calls must be made through our CRM/calling system so activity can be tracked.

Calls made outside the CRM will not count.

## Main Performance Goal

The main goal is to book qualified appointments with business owners.

A realistic target is:

**3–5 qualified appointments per week once fully trained**

Quality matters more than fake volume. We do not want random appointments with people who are not decision makers.

## What Counts as a Qualified Appointment

An appointment counts as qualified only if:

* You spoke with the owner or decision maker
* The business is a plumbing company or relevant home service business
* The owner is interested in missed-call or after-hours call capture
* The owner understands why the meeting is being booked
* The appointment is added to the calendar
* The owner receives a confirmation message
* CRM notes are fully completed
* The prospect is not fake, spam, or unable to make decisions

A random “call me later” does not count as a qualified appointment.

## Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

* Making outbound calls to U.S. local businesses
* Asking for the owner or decision maker
* Following the provided script
* Asking about missed calls, after-hours calls, voicemail, and answering services
* Finding out if the business has a problem with missed calls or slow follow-up
* Booking qualified appointments on the calendar
* Sending appointment confirmation messages
* Taking clear notes in the CRM
* Updating lead status after every call
* Creating follow-up tasks for interested prospects
* Sending a daily activity report

## Example Call Script

You will be trained on a script like this:

“Hey, is this {{Business Name}}?”

“Awesome, is the owner around?”

When speaking with the owner:

“Hey {{Owner Name}}, this is {{Your Name}}. Quick question — when someone calls after-hours for an emergency plumbing job, does that go to a live person, voicemail, or an answering service?”

If they answer:

“Got it. The reason I’m calling is we help plumbing companies capture missed and after-hours calls so they can turn more of those calls into booked jobs instead of losing them to voicemail. Would it be crazy to have Maxx take 15 minutes to show you how it works?”

If they already use an answering service:

“That makes sense. Are they actually booking jobs into your calendar, or mostly just taking messages?”

If interested:

“Perfect. Maxx can show you how the missed-call revenue system works. Does tomorrow at {{time}} or {{time}} work better?”

## Required CRM Notes

For every real conversation, you must enter notes in the CRM.

Notes must include:

* Business name
* Owner or decision maker name
* Phone number
* Current call handling process
* Whether they miss calls
* What happens after-hours
* Whether they use voicemail, office staff, or answering service
* Pain points mentioned
* Interest level
* Appointment date and time
* Confirmation status
* Objections or special notes

If there are no notes, the appointment may not count.

## Required Skills

You must have:

* Strong spoken English
* Confident phone voice
* Cold calling experience
* Ability to handle rejection
* Ability to follow a script
* Good note-taking skills
* Reliable internet
* Quiet work environment
* Headset or clear microphone
* Ability to work during U.S. business hours
* Fast response time
* Strong work ethic
* Ability to make consistent outbound calls

## Preferred Experience

Preferred but not required:

* B2B cold calling experience
* Appointment setting experience
* Experience calling local businesses
* Experience with GoHighLevel, Close, HubSpot, Salesforce, or other CRMs
* Experience selling marketing, software, lead generation, or appointment setting services
* Experience calling home service businesses

## Work Schedule

You must be available to call during U.S. business hours.

Preferred calling windows:

Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM U.S. time zones

You may be calling businesses in Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones.

## Tracking and Accountability

All calls must be tracked inside our CRM.

We track:

* Dials
* Conversations
* Decision makers reached
* Follow-ups created
* Qualified appointments booked
* Appointments confirmed
* Appointments that show
* Closed clients

If calls are not logged in the CRM, they do not count.

## Daily Report

At the end of each workday, you must send a daily report with:

* Total dials
* Total conversations
* Decision makers reached
* Follow-ups created
* Appointments booked
* Appointments confirmed
* Best lead notes
* Main objections heard
* Any issues or questions

## Application Instructions

To apply, please send:

1. A 60-second voice recording introducing yourself
2. Your cold calling experience
3. Your appointment setting experience
4. Your available work schedule in U.S. time zones
5. Your internet speed screenshot
6. Your headset/microphone setup
7. The most outbound calls you have made in one day
8. A short answer to this question:

“What would you say if a plumbing business owner says, ‘We already have someone answering calls’?”

## Test Script

Please record yourself saying this:

“Hey, is this {{Business Name}}? Awesome, is the owner around?”

Then:

“Hey {{Owner Name}}, this is {{Your Name}}. Quick question — when someone calls after-hours for an emergency plumbing job, does that go to a live person, voicemail, or an answering service?”

## Final Note

We are looking for someone reliable, coachable, and consistent. This role includes hourly pay and performance bonuses. If you can make calls, follow the script, book quality appointments, and keep accurate CRM notes, there is a strong opportunity to grow with us.
