JOB OVERVIEW

Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri (some overlap with NZ business hours preferred)
Rate: $6-10 USD/hr depending on demonstrated skill
Trial: 2-week paid trial — this is where we confirm the fit, both ways.

About us
GeneXR is a fast-growing New Zealand tech company. Our product is genuinely good; our visuals need to match it. We're hiring one strong creative to own how we look across illustration, sales decks, and marketing collateral.
What you'll actually do
This role has two halves, and we need you strong in both:
Illustration & original design

Create original illustrations, icons, and visual assets (not stock, not Canva templates)
Develop a consistent illustration style that becomes part of our brand

Presentation & collateral design

Rebuild and polish our sales decks and pitch presentations into clean, persuasive B2B documents
Design reusable templates for quotes, one-pagers, and proposals
Produce social creatives for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram
Keep everything visually consistent

What we need to see

A portfolio with both original illustration work and presentation/layout work. If you only have one, tell us honestly which is your strong half.
Fluency in Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop) and/or Procreate for illustration. Canva is fine for quick social work but is not the core tool.
A clean, modern B2B/SaaS sensibility — restrained, not flashy consumer styling
Ability to take rough direction and deliver polished output with minimal hand-holding
Solid written English — enough to understand a brief and ask the right questions

Nice to have

Motion graphics (After Effects, CapCut)
LinkedIn content experience
Familiarity with B2B/SaaS brands
