We're Blackwake Audio, a music label creating short-form content for our artists. We need a reliable part-time editor to turn our songs into faceless vertical clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This is templated, repeatable work. Once you learn our style, it's fast.
What you'll do:
Edit short vertical videos (9:16, 1080×1920), 8–15 seconds each, from a brief we give you.
Each clip is a simple "vibe loop" background + on-screen caption text + a cut of our song, synced so the hook lands in the first second.
Source background loops from free stock sites (Pexels, Pixabay, Mixkit) or generate them with an AI video tool (Kling, Runway, or Luma — a plus, not required).
Place caption text exactly to our spec for font, size, and position. We provide a one-page style guide and reference clips.
Trim each clip into a seamless loop and export a ready-to-post file.
Deliver in batches, around 20–30 finished clips per week (we'll dial in the exact number during the trial).
What we provide:
The audio cuts, the exact caption text for every clip, and a style guide with examples. You're assembling and sourcing backgrounds, not writing copy or guessing the vibe.
You're a fit if you:
Are fluent in CapCut and fast at templated editing.
Have a sharp eye for clean, readable text and good timing.
Follow a spec precisely. Consistency and text placement matter a lot to us.
Are reliable, communicate clearly in English, and hit deadlines.
Have a portfolio of short-form, vertical, or faceless edits (lyric videos, POV edits, and similar).
Nice to have:
Experience with AI video generators (Kling, Runway, Luma, Sora).
A feel for music and short-form pacing.
Logistics:
Part-time, about 20 hours/week, long-term and ongoing for the right person.
Starts with a paid trial of 3–5 clips so we can both see if it's a fit.
You deliver finished files and will not need access to our social accounts.
To apply:
Start your message with the word "ECHO" so I know you read this.
Send 2–3 examples of faceless or vertical short-form videos you've edited.
Tell me which tools you use and how many simple clips you can turn around per hour.
