About the role
We are a multi-branch [optical / clinical] practice looking for a versatile, reliable Marketing & Digital Coordinator to keep our online presence running smoothly and looking sharp. This is a hands-on, part-time freelance role suited to someone who can juggle web maintenance, social media, graphic design and marketing campaigns, and who responds promptly to requests from our branches and clinical team.
Key responsibilities
Websites:
- Maintain website(s), including security, domains, hosting, SSL renewals and regular backups
- Make edits and updates to the website on request, with a quick turnaround
- Manage on-page and technical Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Publish regular blogs and updates (content written by our staff/clinicians)
- Produce and send regular (quarterly)
- Keep website aesthetics and design current and on-brand
- Ensure marketing campaigns are reflected on the website in a timely fashion
- Maintain Google Business Profile / local listings across all branches
- Ensure the site remains accessible and compliant
- Regularly check online booking platforms and collaborate with managers
Social media
- Maintain accounts, logins and passwords securely; manage user access
- Plan and publish regular central posts, including Reels and short-form video
- Source, encourage and curate regular posts from individual branches
- Monitor and report on engagement; flag and help respond to online reviews and comments
Graphic design
- Design required graphics on request (social, web, print, campaigns)
- Match the current aesthetic and brand guidelines
- Maintain a tidy, organised library of brand assets and templates
- Deliver a quick turnaround when required
Marketing campaigns
- Develop and maintain a rolling marketing calendar
- Manage the execution of all campaign elements per the campaign checklist
- Reporting & compliance
- Provide regular (e.g. monthly/quarterly) reporting on website traffic, social engagement and campaign performance
Person specification
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar mixed marketing/web/design role
- Confident editing websites on [WordPress / your CMS]
- Graphic design skills using [Ideally Canva]
- Working knowledge of SEO best practice
- Experience with
- Social media management, including creating Reels / short-form video
- Excellent written English and a good eye for design and brand consistency
- Highly organised, responsive, and able to manage multiple requests independently
- A portfolio of relevant work
Desirable
- Experience in the optical healthcare sector
- Experience with paid social/search advertising
- Knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights)
