We’re hiring a skilled Cabinet Making Draftsperson / Designer which is an expert in mozaik cabinet making software to join our team remotely. You’ll be responsible for producing accurate joinery drawings and CNC-ready files that take projects from design through to factory production.
This is a remote staff position and requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in cabinet making drafting/design (joinery).
Key responsibilities
Draft detailed cabinet/joinery drawings (kitchens, wardrobes, laundries, vanities, custom joinery)
Produce shop/production drawings: plans, elevations, sections, details, hardware notes
Create CNC-ready files suitable for manufacturing and machining
Interpret architectural plans, site measurements, and client briefs to create buildable solutions
Liaise with the factory/workshop team to clarify details, resolve issues, and manage revisions
Maintain drawing standards, file management, and version control
Required experience & skills (must-have)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in cabinet making / joinery drafting, design, and production documentation
Strong understanding of cabinet construction, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
Proven ability to generate CNC files (including machining awareness: drill patterns, tooling considerations, allowances)
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistency
Proficiency in relevant software such as:
Cabinet Vision / Mozaik / Microvellum / TopSolid / Alphacam / WoodWOP / Fusion 360 / AutoCAD (or similar)
Knowledge of common cabinetry hardware systems (e.g., Blum, Hettich, Hafele or equivalent)
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Reliable internet connection and ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects
Nice to have
3D modelling/rendering capability for client presentations
Experience working with installers/manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and refine designs
Site measure/as-built experience (even if provided by others)
