**Job Title: Landscape & Irrigation Designer / CAD Specialist**
Rocky Mountain Landscaping is a U.S.-based commercial landscaping and irrigation contractor looking for an experienced Landscape & Irrigation Designer / CAD Specialist to help with commercial project design, drafting, and plan support.
This is a long-term remote position for someone who understands landscape plans, irrigation layouts, construction drawings, and commercial site plans.

**Position:** Long-term remote position
**Schedule:** Part-time or full-time depending on availability
**Responsibilities:**
* Prepare and revise landscape and irrigation plans
* Create planting layouts, plant schedules, and material schedules
* Draft irrigation layouts, including heads, valves, controllers, mainlines, laterals, and zones
* Review civil, architectural, landscape, and irrigation plans
* Assist with irrigation design calculations, pipe sizing, zoning, and coverage review
* Prepare CAD drawings, markups, as-builts, and design revisions
* Help with quantity takeoffs for landscape, irrigation, hardscape, and sitework items
* Coordinate plan notes, details, schedules, and drawing updates
* Communicate clearly with our estimating and project teams
**Requirements:**
* Experience with landscape design, irrigation design, or construction drafting
* Strong AutoCAD experience
* Ability to read construction plans and site drawings
* Strong attention to detail
* Fluent in English with strong written communication skills
* Able to work independently and ask clear questions
* Reliable internet connection
**Preferred Experience:**
* Commercial landscape or irrigation design
* Irrigation hydraulics, zoning, pipe sizing, pressure loss, and head layout
* Landscape planting plans and plant schedules
* Land F/X, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, or similar software
* Experience with U.S. construction plans
* Experience with landscape, irrigation, hardscape, grading, or sitework projects
* ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI tools
This role does not require a U.S. landscape architect license, but strong landscape and irrigation design experience is important.
