Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM Pacific Time
Salary: $600 per month
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Draftsman with experience in glazing, curtain wall, storefront, or architectural aluminum systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate shop drawings, interpreting architectural and structural plans, and supporting fabrication documentation for glazing projects. This is a part-time role (20 hours/week) with fixed morning hours and the opportunity to transition into full-time based on performance and workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce shop drawings for glazing systems (curtain wall, storefront, windows, doors, façades)
Interpret architectural and structural drawings for fabrication and installation purposes
Extract dimensions, details, and specifications for production use
Maintain and update live Excel documentation, including:
Bill of Materials (BOM)
Glass order forms
Door and hardware schedules
Work within SharePoint-based live collaborative files
Coordinate updates in real time with internal drafting and engineering teams
Ensure accuracy and consistency across all drawings and revisions
Maintain expected responsiveness within 15 minutes during working hours via Teams, Slack, or similar communication tools
Software Requirements:
Required
AutoCAD (mandatory)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with live/shared spreadsheets
BOMs, material tracking, and order forms
Experience working with SharePoint or similar cloud-based collaboration systems
Preferred
Revit
Autodesk Inventor
BIM tools
Experience with glazing or façade drafting workflows
Education:
Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
Strong hands-on experience in glazing / shop drawing drafting may substitute formal education
Portfolio demonstrating relevant drafting work is required
Experience:
Experience as a Draftsman in glazing, façade, or architectural systems
Ability to read and interpret:
Architectural drawings
Structural drawings
Glazing/shop fabrication details
Experience producing fabrication-ready shop drawings
Familiarity with construction or manufacturing workflows in glazing industry strongly preferred
