Graphic Designer / Production Artist (DTF Printing)
DTF Virginia is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer / Production Artist with real-world DTF production experience.
This is not a traditional graphic design position. We are looking for someone who understands how artwork moves from design to production and can consistently create accurate, production-ready files with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate has experience working in apparel decoration, DTF printing, screen printing, signage, or related print production environments and understands how artwork must be prepared for successful printing.
What You'll Do
Artwork Preparation
• Create production-ready gang sheets from customer-submitted artwork and specifications
• Follow sizing, quantity, spacing, and layout instructions accurately
• Clean up, redraw, vectorize, and improve customer artwork when needed
• Ensure artwork is properly prepared for DTF production
• Identify and correct artwork issues that could affect print quality
Production File Creation
• Prepare files for DTF printing with proper sizing and resolution
• Create clean vector artwork and production-safe line weights
• Add cut paths for Roland print/cut workflows when required
• Prepare files that can move directly into production without additional adjustments
• Replicate fonts and artwork styles accurately
Specialty Artwork
• Create clean halftones and specialty print artwork
• Prepare artwork for specialty printing applications including UV printing
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills
• Strong Adobe Photoshop skills
• Experience preparing artwork for DTF printing
• Strong understanding of vector artwork and production workflows
• Experience with Roland print/cut workflows
• Ability to create accurate, production-ready files
Production Experience
• Experience in apparel decoration, print production, signage, screen printing, DTF, or related industries
• Strong understanding of print production requirements
• Ability to troubleshoot artwork issues before production
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control
Work Style
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Consistently delivers accurate work with minimal rework
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with DTF printing operations
• Color management experience

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time

The goal is simple: receive customer artwork, prepare it correctly, and deliver print-ready files that can go directly into production. Accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail are critical.
