We're a growing company with a strong reputation on the ground — and now we want our online presence to match. We're looking for a talented, multi-skilled digital marketer and designer to join our remote team and take ownership of our entire digital footprint.

What You'll Be Doing
SEO & Content
• Developing and executing an SEO strategy to grow our organic search rankings in the NZ market
• Writing high-quality, keyword-optimised blog posts, service pages, and web content that reflects our expertise
• Producing regular content across platforms — captions, articles, case studies, project spotlights
• Keeping our Google Business Profile active, optimised, and updated
Social Media Management
• Managing and growing GigaCivil's presence on
• Planning and scheduling content using a content calendar
• Engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages
• Creating scroll-stopping content — graphics, short videos, reels, before/after project posts
Paid Advertising
• Setting up, running, and optimising campaigns across:
o
o Google Ads (Search, Display, Local Services)
o LinkedIn Ads
• Managing budgets, monitoring performance, and providing regular reporting on ROI and campaign results
• A/B testing ad creatives and copy to continuously improve results
Website & Graphic Design
• Maintaining, updating, and improving our WordPress website (
• Designing landing pages, service pages, and campaign-specific pages
• Creating professional graphic design assets — social graphics, flyers, brochures, capability statements, signage artwork, and branded templates
• Ensuring brand consistency across all digital and print materials
Reporting & Strategy
• Providing clear monthly reports on website traffic, SEO rankings, ad performance, and social media growth
• Bringing fresh ideas and recommendations to help us stand out in the Auckland market
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
• ? Proven experience in SEO — on-page, off-page, and technical basics
• ? Strong content writing skills in clear, professional English
• ? Hands-on experience managing
• ? Experience running and optimising paid ad campaigns
• ? Proficiency in WordPress — building and editing pages, plugins, basic troubleshooting
• ? Strong graphic design skills — proficient in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• ? Able to work independently, manage your own time, and meet deadlines without hand-holding
• ? Excellent written English — you'll be writing content that represents our brand publicly
• ? Portfolio or examples of past work (this is non-negotiable — please include when applying)
Big Advantages:
• ? Experience with LinkedIn Ads
• ? Basic video editing skills for Reels, shorts, or project showcase videos
• ? Knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Search Console, and Tag Manager
• ? Familiarity with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Ubersuggest

Bonus — Programming & Custom Software Development:
• ???? Any web development or programming skills are a significant advantage
• ???? We are interested in eventually building custom internal software to help manage job scheduling, quoting, crew management, and operations — if you have skills in this area (Python, JavaScript, PHP, React, Laravel, or similar), please highlight this in your application
• ???? Experience building web apps, internal tools, or automation workflows (e.g. Zapier, Make/Integromat) would be very highly regarded
Working Hours
You'll need to be available and responsive during New Zealand business hours (NZST/NZDT) — at least for core hours of 9:00am–5:00pm NZT on weekdays. Some flexibility is available for the right candidate.
