We are seeking a HIGHLY experienced ABA Insurance Operations Specialist with TRUE end-to-end hands-on experience in ABA insurance workflows.
This is NOT an entry-level or support-only role.
The ideal candidate must be able to independently OWN and MANAGE the following functions with NO training required:
1. ABA Verification of Benefits (VOBs)
Complete ABA-specific VOBs from start to finish
Verify:
a) authorization requirements
b) deductible / out-of-pocket maximum
c) copays / coinsurance
d) In-network vs out-of-network benefits
e) CPT code coverage
f) ABA hour limits
g) telehealth coverage
2. Experience working with both commercial and Medicaid payers
3. Ability to accurately document and communicate benefits
4. ABA Authorizations & Reauthorizations
5. Independently submit ABA authorizations and reauthorizations
6. Understand required documentation:
a) diagnostic reports
b) treatment plans
c) assessments
d) BCBA supporting documents
e) Follow up with payers regarding pending authrizations
7. Work on denials and requests for additional information
8. Track auth expiration dates and proactively manage reauth timelines
Experience with CPT codes including:
10. Submit ABA claims to insurance payers
11. Follow up on unpaid, denied, rejected, or underpaid claims
12. Work corrected claims, resubmissions, and appeals
13. Understand payer portals and clearinghouse workflows
14 Ability to identify and resolve billing issues independently
15 Experience with both in-network and out-of-network ABA claims strongly preferred
16 ABA Systems & Operational Experience
REQUIREMENTS:
A.) Prior experience working inside ABA companies REQUIRED
B.) CentralReach and Rethink experience strongly preferred
C) Must understand ABA operational workflows involving:
BCBAs
RBTs
treatment plans
supervision structure
authorization cycles
scheduling impact on billing/auths
Ownership & Leadership
This role requires someone who takes TRUE ownership, not someone who only follows instructions.

IMPORTANT:
Candidates MUST already have REAL ABA-specific insurance operations experience.
Generic medical billing or healthcare experience alone is NOT sufficient.
We are NOT looking for candidates who require training.
Candidates should already be comfortable independently handling ABA VOBs, authorizations, claims follow-up, denials, resubmissions, and payer communications.
