This role requires hands-on US tax compliance experience. If your background is primarily bookkeeping, accounts payable, or bank reconciliation — this is NOT the right fit. We need someone whose day-to-day work has involved US taxation, IRS and State, and Payroll notice resolution, and direct communication with tax agencies.
About Us:
Sin City CFO is a US-based tax advisory firm helping online business owners legally reduce their tax burden through year-round planning. We partner with an Accounting firm for filing. Our role is everything before and after the return — implementation, compliance, documentation, and notice resolution. Long-term position with a growing firm.
The Role:
You will NOT be filing returns. You will be making sure every strategy gets implemented correctly, every notice gets resolved, every deadline gets met, and every client file stays current.
You will not meet with clients on calls or video. However you will communicate with clients directly through
What You Will Own:
- Resolving IRS, state, and payroll notices — including calling agencies directly
- Verifying that tax strategies are correctly documented in QuickBooks by coordinating with our bookkeeping team (you will not be doing the bookkeeping yourself)
- Monitoring quarterly estimated tax payments and safe harbor compliance
- Maintaining a tax savings report card per client
- Coordinating with our bookkeeping team on strategy implementation
- Following up on outstanding client tasks without being asked
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience resolving IRS and state notices — calling and resolving, not just reviewing
- Knowledge of S-Corp reasonable compensation, estimated tax, payroll compliance, and 1099s
- Familiarity with first-time abatements and installment agreements
- Clear system for managing multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written communication — fully remote async role
- Full-Time availability Monday–Friday, US Pacific Time
