ABOUT THE PROJECT
AI Bands is a fast-growing fitness tech startup building the future of connected workouts. We are developing a modular smart resistance band platform featuring automated tension tracking, rep detection, and real-time AI-guided coaching.
We are moving fast. We need a skilled, meticulous electronics hobbyist or hardware engineer based in the Philippines to source components locally, assemble two working prototype units, flash basic firmware, and ship the completed units to our team in the United States.

You will source all components locally using platforms like Lazada, Shopee, or local electronics shops.
AI Bands reimburses your components cost in full immediately upon receipt of clear, itemized digital receipts.

WHAT YOU WILL DELIVER
• Two Fully Assembled Prototype Units: Clean soldering, solid wire management, and securely housed electronics inside the ABS enclosures integrated seamlessly with the bands and handles.
• Flashed BLE Firmware: ESP32 microcontrollers flashed with baseline Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) firmware to stream data strings (spec sheet provided upon hire).
• Component Verification: Proven sensor output data streams from the load cell, HX711, and MPU-6050.Build Documentation: Clear photo updates log recorded at each stage of the wiring and assembly.
• Engineering Notes: Brief written summaries detailing any component substitutions, technical challenges, or hardware optimization suggestions.
• Secure Packaging & Courier Handoff: Finished prototypes securely packed and shipped to our corporate address in the US (All international shipping costs are covered in full by AI Bands via Wise).
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Precision Bench Skills: Professional soldering, wiring configuration, and basic troubleshooting of low-power small electronics.
• Microcontroller Literacy: Hands-on experience flashing and debugging ESP32 or Arduino environments.
• Spec Sheet Competence: Fully comfortable reading schematic lists, pinout guides, and technical build specifications.
• Documentation Discipline: Organized habits when logging build milestones and capturing clean progress photos.
• Prior Build History: You must have physical, real-world examples or photos of functional hardware or DIY electronics you have built with your own hands.
NICE TO HAVE (But not required):
• Custom BLE firmware optimization experience.
• Access to a 3D printer for custom interior component brackets or housing modifications.
• Familiarity with load cell strain-gauge calibration properties.
• Prior experience building wearable technology or fitness tracking hardware.
