BarkHop Studio, a pet photography studio specializing in photographing dogs, is seeking a freelance Social Media & Content Creator for approximately 4-5 hours per week. This is a creative all-in-one role responsible for social media content, blog writing,
What You’ll Do:
-I will provide all photos and behind-the-scenes videos. Your role is to take that material, along with general direction, and run with it — developing creative concepts and producing polished, engaging content. Responsibilities include:
-Create social media posts, stories, reels, and carousels for Instagram and
-Develop content ideas from photos and BTS videos provided by Stacey, turning them into engaging posts — no photography or videography required
-Craft social content for all aspects of the business: calendar contests, book projects, project launches, and more
-Write monthly or twice-monthly blog posts that reflect BarkHop Studio's brand and connect with our local audience, some topics provided, some creative ideas requested
-Write monthly or twice-monthly
-Create regular Google Business updates to keep our profile active and locally visible
-Manage and maintain consistent creation of content tailored to our local audience and ideal client.
-Assist with occasional Instagram and
-Stay on-brand and keep the BarkHop Studio voice fun, warm, and dog-loving
Requirements:
-Strong creative instincts — you come up with the ideas, not just execute them
-Experience creating content for Instagram and
-Strong copywriting skills across multiple formats — social captions, blog posts,
-Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
-Excellent written communication skills in English
-Reliable internet connection
-Ability to work independently and bring ideas to the table
What I’m Looking For:
-Diligent and efficient performance is far more important than years of experience or a lengthy resume
-Dedication, loyalty, and punctuality
-A self-starter who can take minimal direction and create compelling content
-Quick learner who can work smart and independently and take feedback and incorporate it into edits and future content creation.
-Someone who loves dogs and has some knowledge of dogs (preferred but not essential)
What I’m Not Looking For:
-Candidates who only execute ideas given to them and struggle to generate original content
-Candidates who are disorganized or have difficulty with deadlines and structure
-Candidates who lack attention to detail
-Candidates with poor written communication skills in English
-Candidates with an unreliable internet connection
Hours & Growth:
The workload will vary each month, but on average the position requires 4-5 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on more tasks and potentially increase hours as BarkHop Studio grows.
