About the Role:
Clean Facility is seeking a highly proactive, organized, and people-focused HR & Operations Manager to lead our Human Resources function while supporting operational excellence across the organization.
This is not a traditional HR role. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems independently, improves processes, and ensures every employee—from candidate to offboarding—has a professional and well-managed experience.
The ideal candidate is confident making decisions, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands that great HR is about both people and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Human Resources
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and hiring recommendations
- Manage employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Administer Gusto and other HR systems
- Manage I-9 verification and employment documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
- Handle employee relations professionally and confidentially
- Conduct disciplinary meetings and maintain proper documentation
- Coordinate employee performance reviews and development initiatives
- Maintain and improve the Employee Handbook, SOPs, and HR policies
- Manage PTO tracking and employee leave administration
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Coordinate Workers' Compensation claims and documentation
- Manage unemployment claims and related correspondence
- Work with third-party administrators, insurance providers, and legal counsel when necessary
- Maintain HR compliance records and documentation
- Ensure confidential handling of sensitive employee information
- Support internal investigations and employee issue resolution
- Operations Support
- Improve HR and operational workflows
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Assist leadership with workforce planning and staffing strategies
- Monitor hiring pipelines and recruiting metrics
- Support operational reporting and process improvements
- Coordinate cross-functional projects with department leaders
- Ensure smooth communication between HR, Operations, and Leadership
- Reporting & Accountability
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting
- Prepare regular hiring and recruitment updates
- Track onboarding progress and staffing metrics
- Document employee issues, resolutions, and follow-up actions
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed thoroughly and on time
- Provide leadership with actionable updates and recommendations
- Tools & Systems Experience (Required or Strongly Preferred)
Experience with the following tools is highly preferred. The ideal candidate can step in with minimal ramp-up:
- Alliance, HRIS, onboarding, PTO, and payroll support
- Slack – daily communication and team collaboration
- Google Workspace – Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, and Calendar
- Indeed – recruiting and candidate management
- Trainual (preferred)
- Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) - Go High Level
- HRIS platforms
What We're Looking For (Non-Negotiable):
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience
- 2+ years in an HR leadership or management role
- Strong experience with full-cycle recruiting
- Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
- Experience handling employee relations and workplace investigations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Strong decision-making ability with minimal supervision
- Highly detail-oriented and process-driven
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with confidential information
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience supporting operations in a service-based business
- Workers' Compensation administration experience
- Unemployment claims management
- SOP development and process improvement
- Multi-location workforce management
- Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities management, staffing, or field service industries

Work Schedule:
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
This is a full-time remote leadership position. Occasional flexibility may be required to support urgent HR matters or business needs.
