We’re not looking for someone to just execute edits from a checklist. We want someone we’d eventually trust to run with the brand creatively. Someone who can help shape the voice, pacing, energy, and internet presence of Willo across platforms.
This role is NOT a fit if you only want to clock in, edit assigned clips, and clock out. We’re looking for someone who gets excited about ideas, internet culture, startups, storytelling, and building a brand people obsess over.
We’re hiring a full-time video editor who doesn’t just “edit videos,” but actually understands what makes people stop scrolling, keep watching, and care.
We want someone who lives and breathes video trends. Someone who knows what’s working on social media platforms. Someone who has strong opinions, creative instincts, and the confidence to try different formats without waiting to be spoon-fed every instruction.
You don’t need to have 10 years of experience. But you do need to show that you already care deeply about video, storytelling, pacing, hooks, retention, trends,
We care deeply about internet taste. Knowing what feels fresh, sharp, emotionally compelling, and culturally relevant. Versus what feels outdated, corporate, or overproduced. We value speed and iteration over perfection. We’d rather test 10 strong ideas quickly than spend two weeks polishing one video.
> Responsibilities
We want to be completely transparent about everything you might handle. Don't let this list scare you off. You do not need to be a master of all of these on day one, but you should be excited to dive into them:
• Long-Form Video Editing: Own the end-to-end editing process for long-form content like interviews, podcasts, and deep-dive videos, keeping the pacing tight and engaging throughout.
• Long-to-Short Repurposing: Take long-form videos and extract the absolute best hooks and insights to create high-impact short clips.
• Content Revival: Breathe new life into older, archived videos, spinning them up so they feel fresh, relevant, and brand new.
• Format Experimentation: Test multiple video styles, pacing, visual effects, and storytelling formats to see what resonates best with our audience.
• Platform Tailoring: Adapt video assets specifically for the unique cultures of Tech
• Creative Ownership: Pitch your own concepts, tell us what trends we should jump on, and confidently express your opinions on our content direction.
• Asset Management: Organize raw footage, project files, and finished assets so our media library stays clean and accessible.

You might be early in your video editing career, and that is completely fine with us. We do not care about years of corporate experience. We care about talent, drive, and taste.
• Trend Native: You understand GenZ internet culture, current vide/audio trends, and changing algorithms.
• Context King/Queen: You have a sharp ear for dialogue and know exactly where to cut a clip so it retains its full context and punch.
• Free Thinker: You do not wait around for instructions. You bring your own creative vision to the table and take pride in your work.
• Portfolio Ready: You have a collection of work (even personal projects or spec ads) that proves you can edit engaging content.
