--- Read this before you apply:
Most agencies hire editors to push buttons. We don't.
MORPHOS is a creative-first, AI-second agency. That means we lead with taste, craft, and creative authority and we use AI to move faster, not to replace the human eye behind the work. If you're the kind of editor who actually cares about the why behind a cut, the rhythm of a hook, or whether a piece of typography earns its place on the screen, keep reading.
This is a junior editor role with a real senior-editor path. I'm a video editor and creative director myself, so early on you won't be expected to carry the full creative load. What I need right now is a sharp, fast, technically clean executor who can take direction, deliver revisions with precision, and grow into someone I trust to make creative calls without me in the room.
If that growth path matters to you, we're aligned.
--- What you'll be editing
· Primarily Instagram Reels --- short-form, vertical, cinematic
· Some YouTube content over time as the role expands
· Footage is shot intentionally --- often 4K, often cinematic, often LUT-graded
· You'll be working with footage from MORPHOS itself and from our clients (notably an aesthetics and wellness brand with a strong visual identity)
--- What I need from you (Requirements)
Technical Skills:
· Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (other editing software is acceptable as long as you can render to spec and collaborate cleanly)
· Strong typography sensibility --- captions, kinetic text, and on-screen titles should feel intentional, readable, and never overwhelming. Sometimes simple captions. Sometimes animated text. You should know the difference.
· Speed with quality. I don't want fast and sloppy. I don't want slow and precious. I want efficient and excellent.
· Comfortable receiving and executing revisions with high accuracy
--- Communication
· Strong written and spoken English. You need to understand feedback the first time, ask sharp questions when something's unclear, and communicate proactively when something's blocking you.
· Take feedback with humility and accuracy. Humility without accuracy means we redo the same revision twice. Accuracy without humility means we fight about taste. I want both.
? Setup
· Internet speed: minimum 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload. Faster is better. You'll be pulling down multi-gigabyte files regularly? sometimes hundreds of gigabytes in a working week.
· Hard drive space: you need enough free space to handle 4K footage from day one. I'll cover a dedicated external drive for you within the first few weeks of hiring, but you need to be able to work with the footage we send during the trial and onboarding period.
· A computer that can actually edit 4K without crashing every twenty minutes
--- Bonus skills (not required, but they'll move you up the list)
· Color correction and grading proficiency
· Experience working with LUTs on cinematic 4K footage
· Working knowledge of other Adobe Suite tools --- After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom
· Graphic design skills or instincts (we're a full-service shop, and editors who can think visually beyond the timeline grow fastest here)
· Familiarity with motion graphics or template-based animation
--- Compensation & Growth
· Starting rate: $8–$12/hour USD, based on demonstrated skill and experience
· A paid trial edit is part of the hiring process --- you'll be compensated for your time whether or not we move forward together
· External hard drive provided once we commit to working together long-term
· Rate increases tied to loyalty, output quality, and growth into senior responsibilities
· My goal is to pay above industry standard for the right person --- but I need to see proof in the pudding first. Loyalty and consistency over time unlock the ceiling.
I'm not looking for a quick hire. I'm looking for someone who wants to be here in two years.
--- Schedule (your choice)
I believe in work-life balance. I know night shifts are common for Philippine VAs, but they're hard on your health long-term, so I'm giving you the choice:
Option A: 8am–5pm Philippine Standard Time, Monday–Friday
Option B: 8am–5pm Pacific Standard Time, Monday–Friday
Whichever serves your life better. Pick the one you can sustain.
--- How to apply
Send the following --- and please follow the format, because attention to instructions is part of the evaluation:
· A short intro --- who you are, where you're based, why this role caught your eye (a paragraph, not an essay)
· A portfolio link --- Google Drive, Vimeo, YouTube, or a personal site. I want to see at least 3 recent short-form vertical edits (Reels, TikToks, or Shorts) you've actually edited. I recommend you only send 3-5 videos of your best work.
· Your editing software of choice and your years of experience with it
· Your internet speed test result (screenshot from speedtest.net is fine)
· Which schedule (Option A or B) you're applying for
· Your hourly rate expectation within the $8–$12 range, and one sentence on why you land where you land
Top applicants will receive a paid trial edit using real footage from our pipeline. The trial is paid regardless of outcome.
--- A final note
If you want a job where you clock in, push the right buttons, and clock out...this isn't it.
If you want to grow inside a creative agency that takes craft seriously, uses AI as a tool not a crutch, and actually pays you what you're worth as you level up --- apply.
I'm looking forward to seeing your work.
