JOB OVERVIEW

WE NEED AN EDITOR WHO CAN MAKE A CARD STORY UNFORGETTABLE

I am hiring a part-time TikTok editor for a fast-growing Trading Card Game (TCG) content brand. This post is for editors who specialize in storytime and narrative content.

Storytime content has the highest emotional resonance on TikTok. People remember stories far better than facts. We want editors who can take a real ---------- nt ("the time someone pulled a Charizard from a $1 pack") and turn it into a 45-60 second narrative arc that viewers MUST finish.

WHAT YOU WILL EDIT

- 6-8 narrative videos per day, Monday to Friday
- 45-90 second story-driven videos with strong narrative arc (hook, build, climax, payoff)
- Topics: customer chase pull stories, investment journey ("I bought this for $1, it's now worth $X"), heartwarming pulls (kids opening packs), historical card stories
- Strong hook engineering for retention curve (first 3 seconds determine watch time)
- Output 9:16 vertical, deliver via Drive

STYLE REFERENCE

Study top storytime creators on TikTok across niches (true crime, business, personal stories). Look for editors who structure narratives in beats: hook, setup, conflict, climax, resolution. ---------- ---------- for brand energy. These are reference accounts only, not the brand you will be editing for.

REQUIREMENTS

- 12+ months short-form video editing experience (higher bar due to narrative complexity)
- Portfolio with narrative or storytelling content (any niche)
- Strong understanding of retention hooks and pacing
- Comfortable working with voiceover, captions, and B-roll synchronization
- Proficient in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Available Mon-Fri, 5 days/week, around 1.5 to 2 hours/day
- Filipino editors preferred for timezone alignment

BONUS POINTS

- Background in writing or scriptwriting (any format)
- Past work for storytime-heavy creators (motivational, business stories, true crime)
- Knowledge of TCG community emotional touchstones (first chase, big pulls, etc.)
- Sound design for narrative pacing (music swells, sound effects for beats)

COMPENSATION

PHP 16,800/month (paid weekly at PHP 4,200 every Friday). 6-8 narrative videos/day x 5 days = 30-40 videos/week. Lower volume because narratives require more time per video. Performance bonuses after 60 days.

HOW TO APPLY

2. Your usual turnaround time for one 45-90 second narrative edit
3. Confirm you can commit to 6-8 narrative videos/day, Mon-Fri
4. Pick any past narrative edit you have made and explain WHY the hook worked in 2-3 sentences
