Senior Video Editor - Direct Response Performance Ads - Headlamp Brand

Job Overview
We're a fast-growing headlamp brand, already one of the biggest in our category and scaling hard into the US to become the biggest globally. We scale through Meta paid ads and we're building our in-house creative team for the rest of 2026 and beyond.
We're looking for a video editor to join us. This is a long-term collaborative role with strong base pay, real performance bonuses on winning ads, and a clear growth path if you're an A-player.
Full-time preferred. Part-time considered for the right editor with strong availability through Q4.

About Us
We sell a product that genuinely makes people's lives better. The brand is founder-led, performance-driven, and growing fast. We have the strategy, the briefs, the creators, and the system already in place. What we need now is the right editor to execute at the level the brand and team deserves.
We're scaling our ad spend significantly through Q4, which means we need editors who can deliver clean, high-converting direct response ads at speed without compromising quality.
Focused on understanding the stories and narratives we create and turning them into great ads.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll be editing UGC ads, Voiceover ads, founder-style content, mashups, and AI-assisted ads - all designed to convert. The output is direct response performance creative, not branded content. We care about hooks, retention, pacing, narrative, and clarity. The ads that spend the most for us are simple, natural, and don't feel like ads at all.
A big part of the role is reviewing our top-spending ads, understanding why they work, and using that to iterate on what we make next. We build feedback loops here - every brief is better than the last, and every editor on the team gets sharper with each ad they cut. You'll have briefs, creator footage, and the support of the team to do your best work.
You'll work directly with the team to learn and improve what's working to drive the quality in the right direction. Communication is in English via Slack.

What We're Looking For
An editor who understands narrative, story, and direct response - and can read the type of ad and the concept we've built, and edit it in the way that fits it best. Creating ads that resonate with REAL PEOPLE.
Specifically:
- Strong portfolio of DTC/eCommerce ads that genuinely performed on Meta or TikTok
- Deep understanding of hook craft, retention, pacing, and how ads convert
- Fluent in UGC editing - clean, natural, organic feel
- Experience in mashup, founder-style, and ugly ads
- AI-fluent - we use ElevenLabs for voiceover, Higgsfield for AI B-roll, Nano Banana for images, and we're always exploring new tools
- High-level written and spoken English
- Reliable, communicative, takes feedback well, delivers on time
- Able to deliver finished ads at a steady pace - typically 2-3 per day at peak (more if possible).
- Cares about quality and craft, not just output volume
We're pro-AI here. We still love real content and real creators - AI helps the workflow and the output. If you can combine craft with speed and AI fluency, you'll thrive here.

What This Pays
Base rate: $35 USD per finished ad.

Paid per brief delivered to standard. Strong volume of briefs available, especially through Q4.

Plus performance bonuses on winning ads.

We pay real bonuses when ads you cut scale. Our top ads last year individually spent over $100,000+ each - and Q4 is when the biggest bonuses get paid out. The structure is genuinely favourable: editors who deliver winners can earn meaningful additional income on top of base, especially during the Q4 ramp.

Full bonus structure shared once you pass the paid test brief.

Growth Path
This is a long-term role. The editor who delivers in Q4 becomes the senior editor on the team in 2027. Real progression - more responsibility, higher rates, leadership of newer editors, and direct collaboration on creative direction.
