Senior Video Editor / Lead Editor — Job Description Outline
Position Title
Senior Video Editor / Lead Editor
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Video Editor who can lead post-production workflows from ingest to final delivery. This role requires advanced expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, strong leadership abilities, high-level color grading and creative storytelling skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and salvage imperfect footage captured in fast-paced production environments.
The ideal candidate is dependable under pressure, thrives in unconventional schedules when deadlines demand it, and can manage both creative direction and technical execution across multiple projects.
Trial Edit & Hiring Process
All applicants will be required to complete a challenging trial editing task before being considered for the role.
This test is intentionally designed to reflect real production conditions and evaluate:
Editing ability
Creative decision-making
Storytelling
Audio balancing
Color grading
Workflow organization
Problem-solving under pressure
We are looking for editors who can produce polished, professional-level work — not rushed edits with generic templates, automated captions, or low-effort effects. Submissions that appear careless, unfinished, or overly reliant on drag-and-drop editing styles will not qualify for payment or further consideration.
The trial task is paid only if the submission demonstrates strong effort, quality execution, and professional editing standards.
We keep the test difficult on purpose because we are only looking to bring on highly capable editors who can operate at a high level consistently.
Editors who successfully complete the onboarding process and become part of the team will have opportunities for increased pay, larger responsibilities, and long-term growth within the company.
