JOB OVERVIEW

Overview

We are a U.S.-based accounting firm seeking an experienced QuickBooks Online Cleanup Team Leader to support and lead our International Cleanup Team. This role is not entry-level and is intended for a senior accounting professional with strong experience in U.S. GAAP accounting and complex QuickBooks Online cleanups.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving messy accounting problems, producing clean and accurate financials, and supporting U.S. tax and accounting teams with high-quality work. You will support (but not fully own) month-end and year-end close activities by ensuring clean, well-prepared financials.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support a QuickBooks Online Cleanup Team and Bookkeepers
Perform and review QuickBooks Online cleanups and catch-ups, including:
Transaction categorization
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Correcting misclassifications and posting errors
Balance sheet cleanups and account reviews
Review financial reports for accuracy, clarity, and U.S. GAAP compliance
Identify discrepancies and resolve issues independently
Support month-end and year-end close by preparing clean, review-ready financials
Ensure cleanup work properly supports U.S. tax preparation
Communicate clearly with internal U.S. accounting and tax teams
Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial data
Help train, guide, and elevate junior cleanup tea ---------- mbers and Bookkeepers

Required Experience (Please Read Carefully)
3+ years of hands-on accounting experience
Strong QuickBooks Online cleanup experience is REQUIRED
Experience working with U.S.-based clients and U.S. GAAP standards
Strong understanding of:
Balance sheets and income statements
Reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
How clean books support U.S. tax filings
Ability to review and improve other tea ---------- mbers’ work
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong written English communication skills
Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
