JOB OVERVIEW

We are a Vancouver based supplier and installer of high – end European window, door, sliding door and
facade systems for luxury residential projects in Western Canada.
Our team is hiring an experienced Glazing Drafter to support the business. You will be
responsible to prepare and revise shop drawings for high- end residential window and door
projects.
You will work with the architectural drawings, structural drawings, site measurements, product
system details markups, and internal standards to create accurate shop drawing packages.

This role is ideal for someone with hands on experience in:
? Window and Door shop drawings
? Curtain wall / façade drafting
? Aluminum glazing systems
? Architectural drafting
? Revit and or AutoCAD experience
? Construction documentation
? Reading and understanding architectural and structural drawings

Skills required:
? Strong AutoCAD skills required
? REVIT experience preferred
? Ability to read architectural drawings and understand plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, grids,
dimensions and levels.
? Understanding of residential construction and building envelope coordination
? Ability to draft clean, organized, dimensional shop drawings
? Strong attention to detail
? Good written English
? Reliable internet connection and computer set-up
? Able to work independently without constant supervision

Key Responsibilities
? Prepare shop drawings for windows, doors, sliding doors, curtain wall-style glazing and
related aluminum systems.
? Draft elevations, plans, sections, enlarged details, schedules, and installation details
? Interpret architectural drawings, structural drawings, specifications, schedules, and
consultant markups
? Coordinate rough openings, finished floor levels, sill conditions, head/jamb details,
anchoring intent, waterproofing interfaces and clearances
? Prepare window and door schedules with sizes, configurations, opening types, glass
notes, finishes and comments
? Revise drawings based on internal review comments, architect comments, engineer
comments and site conditions
? Check your own work for accuracy before submitting
? Maintain organized drawing files, revisions and issue dates
? Communicate clearly with the project manager and internal team
? Help improve company drafting templates and shop drawing standards over time.

We are looking for a real technical drafter – not just someone who can trace architectural plans. You
must understand how drawings are used for coordination, fabrication, approval and installation.
