Job Description: Graphic Designer / Storyboard Artist
Location: Remote (WFH)
Type: Project-Based (Hourly) (Cybersecurity) (Ideally available 30+ hours a week)
Confidentiality: High (Non-Disclosure Agreement Required)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Graphic Designer to act as the visual architect for our motion projects. Your main goal is to create the detailed storyboards that our animation team will follow. Working for a foreign client, you will take complex cybersecurity concepts and map them out into clear, beautiful static frames. This is a project-based role with hourly pay, and due to the sensitive nature of the work, a signed NDA is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Storyboard Creation: Design the "blueprint" for animations by creating high-fidelity storyboards and style frames.
Conceptual Design: Work with technical briefs to develop visual metaphors for abstract security themes like cloud protection and data encryption.
Asset Preparation: Organize and layer your designs (typically in Illustrator or Photoshop) so they are ready for a motion designer to animate seamlessly.
Typography & Layout: Set the visual standard for how text and data will appear on screen, ensuring clarity and brand alignment.
Compensation & Work Structure
Hourly Pay: Compensation is calculated on an hourly basis for the duration of the project.
Project-Based: Engagement occurs on a per-project basis with clear delivery milestones.
Flexible Remote Work: Work from your own space while coordinating with an international team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Design Suite Mastery: Expert-level skills in Adobe Illustrator and Figma
Strong Layout Sense: A deep understanding of composition, hierarchy, and how to guide a viewer’s eye through a frame.
Sequential Storytelling: Experience in storyboarding—knowing how to transition from one idea to the next logically.
Technical Literacy: The ability to take "tech-heavy" descriptions and turn them into clean, professional graphics.
Organizational Skills: You must be great at keeping project files clean and well-labeled for the hand-off to the animation team.
