JOB OVERVIEW

# House of Nannies — Editorial Brand Designer (Long-Term Freelance/Contract Role)

House of Nannies is looking for a talented editorial-style brand designer to become a long-term creative partner for our growing childcare and family lifestyle brand ecosystem.

We are building a modern, emotionally intelligent, community-driven brand that blends thoughtful childcare support with elevated visual storytelling. In addition to our agency and membership platform, we are currently developing a digital editorial publication focused on modern family life, caregiving culture, emotional support, and household dynamics.

This is NOT a one-time project role. We are looking for someone interested in growing with the brand long-term and helping shape the visual identity and creative direction as the company continues expanding.

We’re looking for a designer who understands how to create visuals that feel:

* warm
* modern
* editorial
* emotionally resonant
* elevated but approachable
* calm and visually thoughtful

This role is ideal for someone who has a strong eye for:

* typography
* spacing
* layout
* storytelling through design
* cohesive brand identity
* luxury-inspired but human-centered aesthetics

???????????????
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
???????????????

The designer will work closely with our founder and Growth & Community Coordinator to visually bring content and campaigns to life across multiple platforms.

Projects may include:

* Digital magazine/editorial layouts
* Newsletter and flipbook design
* Instagram static posts
* Carousel posts
* Facebook graphics
* Blog cover graphics
* Campaign visuals
* Social media templates
* Light brand identity refinement/support
* Seasonal editorial concepts

We will provide content direction, themes, copy, and creative collaboration — we are looking for someone who can help visually execute and elevate the overall experience.

???????????????
DESIGN STYLE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
???????????????

Our ideal aesthetic is:

* editorial-inspired
* emotionally intelligent
* clean and minimal
* soft luxury
* modern family lifestyle
* elevated but relatable
* community-driven
* timeless rather than trendy

We are NOT looking for:

* overly corporate design
* generic Canva-style templates
* loud or cluttered visuals
* trendy influencer-style graphics
* overly sales-heavy aesthetics

???????????????
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
???????????????

We’d love someone who has experience with:

* editorial design
* lifestyle brands
* magazine layouts
* family/motherhood/wellness brands
* social media branding
* modern typography and layout systems
* Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite

Experience creating digital magazines, newsletters, or editorial-style publications is a huge plus.

???????????????
WORK STYLE & EXPECTATIONS
???????????????

This is a long-term freelance/contract role with ongoing monthly collaboration and consistent creative work.

We are not looking for strict hourly scheduling. Designers are welcome to work on their own schedule and timezone as long as:

* deadlines are met
* communication remains consistent
* projects are completed thoughtfully and on time

We anticipate:

* monthly creative planning meetings
* collaborative creative direction
* ongoing design work across multiple areas of the brand ecosystem
* a long-term working relationship as the company continues growing

We are specifically looking for someone who wants to become deeply familiar with the brand and help maintain strong visual consistency and storytelling over time.

ABOUT THE BRAND
???????????????

House of Nannies is a modern childcare agency and community serving families throughout Westchester, NYC, the Hamptons, Connecticut, and New Jersey.

Our overall mission is to create thoughtful, trustworthy, emotionally intelligent support systems for modern families while building a brand that feels deeply human, elevated, and community-centered.

We are especially passionate about redefining what modern childcare brands can feel like — blending trust, warmth, emotional connection, and beautiful storytelling into every touchpoint.
