Protopia is looking for a very experienced enterprise softare Account Manager to support our customers , universities across the Asia-Pacific region, with our B2B software.
In this role you will onboard new clients, collaborate regularly with stakeholders, and support our customers with both account and operational support.
We're a remote-only, global team (you're the 2nd team member in the Philippines) and thus you will works closely with our team across time zones. Work will be performed primarily AEST with some overlap to US EST timezone (once or twice week until 10 am EST is required).
More importantly, this is a high-impact role where you will make a difference through meaningful work (support students!), learn a lot, and ideally be a long-term member (5+ years) of a growing team. We need someone who's looking for a permanent "home" and not jump from contract to contract.
What You'll Do
1. Own a portfolio of APAC customer accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for onboarding, adoption, and ongoing success
2. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at each account, understanding their goals and proactively surfacing value
3. Conduct regular business reviews, track engagement metrics, and deliver insights that help customers get more from Protopia
4. Support customers operationally by using our software.
What We're Looking For
a. 5–10 years of experience in account management, customer success, or a related client-facing role at a B2B software company. Ideally edtech / education.
b. Exceptional written and verbal communication in accent-free English — you write clearly, speak confidently, and can hold your own in executive-level conversations
c. Strong academic background — a degree from a reputable university, ideally in business, communications, technology, or a related field
d. Highly organized and process-oriented — you manage multiple accounts without dropping the ball
e. Comfortable working with software tools and data; experience with CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Atlassian, Google), productivity suites, and customer success platforms is a plus
f. Self-directed, confident, and comfortable with ambiguity — you don't wait to be told what to do next
g. Collaborative team player who can work effectively across time zones with colleagues in the US and elsewhere
h. VERY strong communicator who understands how to operate on a global team. Regular, comprehensive updates and proactive engagement are critical in this role.
Nice to Have
- Experience working at a startup and/or education technology company
- Familiarity with community management, engagement platforms, or social software
- Prior experience supporting customers in Southeast Asia, Australia, or other APAC markets
- Background in operations, project management, or internal systems work

You will start part-time with 20 hours for the first 90 days as a trial period to ensure you meet the requirements outlined in this role. In month four you will be upgraded to full-time.
