La Jolla Learning is a premier educational therapy and academic intervention company based in Southern California. We specialize in providing highly personalized, one-on-one virtual learning solutions for students with diverse learning needs. We are seeking a highly skilled, licensed Philippine professional to conduct virtual clinical consultations and design learning strategies for neurodivergent students. This is a fully remote, on-demand position for a specialist who deeply understands the intersection of academic struggles and neurodevelopmental profiles.Our core reading curriculum is built upon the PRIDE Reading Program (an Orton-Gillingham, structured literacy framework). In this role, you will serve as a senior educational consultant for La Jolla Learning—helping families untangle complex learning blocks, adapting reading lessons for digital environments, and building executive functioning skills for students with multi-exceptionalities.
Key Responsibilities
Virtual Student Consultations: Conduct remote intake evaluations and progress consultations for international students presenting with Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, and Executive Dysfunction.Curriculum
Adaptation: Strategically adapt and enhance our PRIDE Reading Program delivery to accommodate students with severe attention deficits, sensory processing issues, and working memory barriers.Executive Function
Scaffolding: Create targeted, actionable intervention plans that teach metacognition, time management, and emotional self-regulation alongside academic tasks.
Case Advisory: Serve as our internal clinical expert, advising the La Jolla Learning tutoring team on complex student placements and case management.
Required QualificationsEducation & Licensure:
Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a top-tier university (e.g., UP, PNU, DLSU, UST) and a current PRC License in one of the following fields:Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)Occupational Therapy (OTR/Phil)Special Education (SPED) / Professional Teacher with a SPED specializationNeurodiversity Expertise: Proven experience working clinically or academically with students diagnosed with Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, and Executive Dysfunction.Digital Setup & Fluency: Must possess a reliable, high-speed fiber internet connection, a quiet workspace, a high-quality webcam/microphone, and advanced proficiency in delivering highly interactive, engaging lessons via Zoom.Communication: Exceptional, near-native verbal and written English communication skills suitable for consulting with US-based parents.
Preferred QualificationsPrior experience or training with Structured Literacy, Phonics-based remediation, or the Orton-Gillingham (OG) methodology.
