About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Amazon Ads & Marketplace Growth Specialist to help manage, optimise and grow Amazon performance for consumer product brands.
This role is suited to someone who understands Amazon as more than an advertising platform. We need someone who knows how Amazon works as a marketplace, sales channel, product testing environment, brand protection tool and retail growth accelerator.
The right person will be confident working across Amazon Ads, Seller Central, Vendor Central, product listings, Amazon storefronts, Shopify connections, marketplace connectors, pricing control, product testing and campaign reporting.
This is not a basic “set up campaigns and leave them running” role. We need someone who can think strategically, commercially and technically to help brands achieve profitable growth on Amazon.
Role Overview
You will help plan, launch, manage and optimise Amazon advertising campaigns while also supporting the marketplace strategy behind those campaigns.
This includes understanding which products should be promoted on Amazon, how Amazon should work alongside Shopify or other eCommerce channels, how to avoid channel cannibalisation, and how to improve product visibility, pricing integrity and conversion performance.
The ideal candidate will be able to look at an Amazon account and identify:
Which campaigns are wasting spend
Which products have the best growth potential
Which listings need to be improved before scaling ads
Whether Vendor Central, Seller Central or a hybrid model is best suited
How Amazon can be used to test products before broader retail expansion
What return is required before increasing the ad budget
Key Responsibilities

This may include advising on:

Channel segmentation
Retail, Amazon and direct-to-consumer product allocation

Hybrid marketplace models
Marketplace connector setup
Pricing and brand positioning
Amazon’s role in future retail demand generation
We need someone who can understand the commercial impact of Amazon, not just the advertising dashboard.
Seller Central, Vendor Central & Hybrid Models
The ideal candidate should have strong working knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central.
You should understand the practical differences between:
Selling directly to Amazon through Vendor Central
Selling through Seller Central
Using Seller Central for product testing and pricing control
Using Vendor Central for established products
Building a hybrid Amazon model
Transitioning products from Shopify testing to Seller Central and then Vendor Central
Using marketplace connectors to control listings, pricing and fulfilment
Experience with Shopify-to-Amazon workflows, marketplace connectors or multi-channel listing tools will be highly valued.

This may include:
Product titles
Bullet points
Product descriptions
A+ Content
Amazon storefront structure
Product image recommendations
Keyword optimisation
Product positioning
Review and rating considerations
Listing consistency across marketplaces
Product catalogue troubleshooting
You should also be able to identify listing issues that may affect performance, including incorrect images, poor product data, weak product detail pages, incorrect brand links, duplicate listings, UPC/GTIN conflicts or storefront connection problems.
Brand Protection & Pricing Integrity
This role requires someone who understands the importance of brand control on Amazon.
You may need to help identify and resolve issues such as:
Amazon undercutting recommended pricing
Product ranges damaging brand positioning
Incorrect product information being pulled from other listings or marketplaces
Distributors or third parties affecting catalogue control
Products linking to the wrong storefront
Inconsistent pricing across Amazon, Shopify and retail
Poorly managed legacy SKUs affecting brand perception
You should be comfortable making practical recommendations about whether products should be retained, removed, repositioned, relisted or shifted between Seller Central and Vendor Central.
Product Testing & Campaign Scaling
A key part of this role is helping brands test Amazon as a growth channel before scaling investment.
You should be able to:
Recommend which SKUs to test first
Build a structured Amazon Ads testing plan
Allocate initial campaign budgets effectively
Track early performance clearly
Identify winning products and campaigns
Recommend when to scale spend
Explain when a product is not ready for advertising
Connect Amazon performance with broader eCommerce and retail goals
You should be comfortable working with initial test budgets and proving whether Amazon can become a scalable channel.
Reporting & Commercial Insights
You will prepare clear, practical reporting that helps clients understand performance and make better decisions.
Reporting may include:
Spend
Sales
ACOS
TACOS
ROAS
CPC
CTR
Conversion rate
Keyword performance
Search term performance
Product-level performance
Budget recommendations
Listing improvement recommendations
