Remote Position
We are hiring a highly creative, detail-oriented, and coachable Short-Form Video Editor & Social Media Assistant to join our growing real estate media company serving the DMV area.
This is not just an editing role. We are looking for someone who genuinely understands modern short-form content and wants to help grow visibility, engagement, relationships, and overall business opportunities through social media.
You will help create engaging reels and short-form content for real estate agents, listings, behind-the-scenes media, and agent-focused branding across Instagram Reels, TikTok,
This role starts focused primarily on content creation and editing, but there is strong long-term growth potential for the right person to eventually take on broader social media management responsibilities as the company continues to grow.

What You’ll Do
• Edit short-form vertical video content optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok,
• Create engaging, retention-focused edits using strong hooks, pacing, captions, trending audio, and modern editing styles
• Assist with content posting and optimization across multiple platforms
• Maintain organization and consistency across content workflows
• Double-check captions, formatting, audio, exports, thumbnails, and post quality before publishing
• Track engagement trends and key performance metrics over time
• Monitor retention, reach, saves, shares, comments, and overall content performance
• Help identify which content styles and topics are performing best
• Assist with collaboration ideas involving agents, affiliates, and local businesses
• Bring proactive content and growth suggestions to the table instead of simply posting passively
• Help increase overall brand visibility through stronger video distribution and social engagement strategies
Compensation & Growth Path
• Starting pay: $4-$6/hour depending on experience and skill level
• Part-time role to start (approximately 10-12 hours per week)

What We’re Looking For
• Strong CapCut editing experience highly preferred
• Strong understanding of short-form content pacing, hooks, captions, and retention-focused editing
• Actively understands and consumes Instagram Reels, TikTok, and modern social content trends
• Extremely detail-oriented and organized
• Reliable and consistent with deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Positive attitude and coachable mindset
• Creative thinker who takes initiative
• Comfortable receiving feedback and implementing revisions quickly
• Ability to work independently while staying communicative
• Canva experience is a plus for simple graphics and carousels
• Real estate media experience is a plus, but not required
