JOB OVERVIEW

Door-to-Door Canvassing Manager / Virtual Assistant – PB Painting

PB Painting is a fast-growing residential painting company based in San Diego, California. We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Virtual Assistant to help build and manage our door-to-door marketing program.

This is NOT a simple admin role. You will be responsible for helping recruit, manage, train, and hold canvassers accountable in the field.

We are looking for someone who is:

Responsibilities

Recruiting & Hiring

- Post hiring ads on Indeed, Facebook, Craigslist, etc.
- Screen applicants
- Schedule and conduct interviews
- Help onboard new canvassers
- Replace underperforming canvassers quickly

Team Management

- Manage daily communication with canvassers
- Ensure canvassers show up and stay accountable
- Track hours, attendance, and performance
- Monitor daily KPIs and field activity
- Help train new canvassers on scripts and processes
- Report issues to ownership immediately
- Assist with firing or replacing unreliable team members

Tracking & Accountability

- Track canvassers using apps/software
- Monitor:
- Doors knocked
- Leads generated
- Appointments set
- Areas canvassed
- Hours worked
- Maintain organized spreadsheets and reports
- Ensure team members are properly following systems

Administrative Tasks

- Organize data and lead tracking
- Help coordinate schedules
- Maintain recruiting pipelines
- Follow up with applicants and canvassers
- Assist with process improvement and systems

Requirements

- Excellent English communication
- Strong internet connection
- Highly reliable and responsive
- Comfortable managing and directing people
- Experience with recruiting, sales teams, or management is preferred
- Experience with CRMs, Google Sheets, or tracking software is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Compensation

- $5/hour starting pay
- 10–20 hours per week initially
- Opportunity for increased hours and bonuses based on performance
