JOB OVERVIEW

WordPress Technical Specialist for Mission-Driven Pet Education Company

Help Us Impact 1 Million Pet Parents by 2030

Pet Summits is on a mission to help pet parents around the world give their animals longer, healthier, and happier lives.

We create online educational events that bring together leading veterinarians, pet health experts, trainers, and educators to help pet parents make better decisions for the animals they love.

Our goal is to impact 1 million pet parents by the year 2030, and we are building the team, systems, and technology to make that possible.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented WordPress Technical Specialist who can help us keep our event websites, funnels, automations, reports, and technical systems running smoothly as well as build automations to improve what we already have.

This is not a basic VA role. It is also not a pure programming role.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys working inside WordPress, Thrive Themes, funnels, forms, plugins, reports, dashboards, and automations, while also helping improve the way our systems work over time.

Why This Role Matters

Every event we run helps thousands of pet parents learn how to better care for their pets.

Your work will directly support that mission.

When a registration page works properly, more pet parents can attend.

When forms, tags, and automations are set up correctly, people receive the right emails at the right time.

When dashboards and reports are accurate, our team can make better decisions.

When systems are documented and improved, the whole company becomes stronger.

This role is about more than updating pages. It is about helping build the technical foundation that allows Pet Summits to grow and create more impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your main focus will be supporting the technical setup and maintenance of our online events.

This includes:

- Setting up and updating WordPress pages using Thrive Themes / Thrive Architect.

- Moving existing event pages into new event setups, including registration pages, speaker pages, thank-you pages, replay pages, and other funnel pages.

- Making sure pages are formatted correctly, mobile responsive, and ready before launch.

- Updating WordPress plugins and checking that updates do not break key pages or functionality.

- Testing forms, buttons, links, redirects, thank-you pages, registration flows, and other important user journeys.

- Making sure Kit / ConvertKit forms, tags, and integrations are connected properly.

- Testing Zapier automations and making sure data is moving correctly between tools.

- Helping create and maintain reports and dashboards for event performance.

- Creating and improving technical checklists, SOPs, and QA processes.

- Helping us improve existing systems so our event setup process becomes more reliable, scalable, and organized.

- Troubleshooting basic WordPress, plugin, page builder, form, tracking, and integration issues.

The Role Breakdown

Approximately 70% of this role will be WordPress, Thrive Themes, event page setup, plugin updates, testing, QA, reporting, and creating automations with Thinkific, Samcart, etc.

Approximately 30% of this role will be dashboards, automations, process improvement, systems optimization, and helping us scale our infrastructure.

Tools & Skills We’re Looking For

You should be comfortable with, or able to quickly learn:

You do not need to be a senior developer, but you should be technically confident, detail-oriented, and comfortable troubleshooting when something does not work.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You

Care about doing meaningful work.

Enjoy working with WordPress, pages, plugins, forms, funnels, and technical systems.

Are highly detail-oriented and like testing things properly before they go live.

Understand that small technical mistakes can affect registrations, emails, sales, and customer experience.

Can follow SOPs, but also suggest better ways to do things.

Communicate clearly when something is unclear, broken, delayed, or needs support.

Have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.

Are excited to be part of a mission-driven company helping pet parents around the world.

Have a fast and stable internet connection.

- You’ll be part of a kind, mission-driven team doing work that genuinely helps pets and their families.
- You’ll get to work on meaningful online events that reach thousands of pet parents.
- You’ll have the opportunity to grow from technical execution into stronger systems, reporting, automation, and technical operations work.
- You’ll be encouraged to improve processes, suggest better ways of doing things, and help build systems that scale.
- You’ll be part of a company with a big vision: impacting 1 million pet parents by 2030.

## How to Apply

We are looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, technically capable, and excited to help us build the systems behind a mission that matters.
