JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a video editor ASAP for our faceless YouTube channels about global disasters & ancient artifacts. We make 12-15 Min long-form videos about geological events, engineering disasters, ancient discoveries, and historical investigations.

We are looking for a Traditional Video Editor who can tell a visual story using real clips, real news footage, documentaries, interviews, maps, and strong visual pacing following the script.

What You Will Do:
-Follow the Script: We provide script + direction, tools.
-Source Real Clips: You must find real footage from news, documentaries, interviews, archive footage, and public sources. This is the most important part. MUST AVOID RANDOM STOCK FOOTAGE AND AI.
-Edit Fast: Keep the video moving. No dry or boring sections. Good Pacing, Keep Viewer engaged. Use background music when/if necessary. Use strong sound effects and good overlays.
-Add maps or text overlays where necessary so it breaks up the footage.
-Understand the viewer and retention and know how to keep them hooked and watching with pacing

HUGE PLUS: Can also do the Thumbnails (not a requirement but a huge plus).

Style: Documentary / breaking-news style editing with strong pacing.

Pay: Will start on per video $15-$20/per video depending on complexity and quality.

You must be able to:
-Deliver 3-4 videos per week
-Work independently once workflow is understood
-Communicate well & meet deadlines.
