We are looking for a reliable UX & Conversion Analyst to join our
small international team long-term.
We are an Italian and Dutch e-commerce brand selling custom
anime-style portraits. We need someone who helps us identify
friction points, UX issues, and conversion improvement opportunities
on our Shopify store.
IMPORTANT: To prove you read this post carefully, please start your
application with the word "ANCHOR" - applications without this word
will be ignored.
----------------------------------------
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be our eyes on user behavior. Every day you will watch
session recordings and heatmaps to understand where visitors get
stuck, what makes them leave, and where we can improve.
Specifically:
- Analyze session recordings on Microsoft Clarity and Propel Replay
- Study heatmaps (click, scroll, attention) to identify hot and
cold zones
- Identify friction patterns: where people stop, get confused,
abandon
- Understand where conversions break down in the funnel
(homepage > product > cart > checkout)
- Compare desktop vs mobile behavior
- Report concrete issues with specific examples and recording
timestamps
- Suggest practical and prioritized improvements for UX and
conversions
----------------------------------------
REPORT STRUCTURE
You will receive a template to fill out 4 times per week:
3 bi-daily reports (Monday, Wednesday, Friday):
- Summary of analyzed sessions (number, segments)
- Top 3-5 observed issues with timestamps and screenshots
- Recurring patterns (mobile vs desktop, traffic source, etc.)
- Immediate prioritized suggestions (high/medium/low impact)
1 weekly report (Sunday):
- Summary of the 3 previous reports
- Trends observed during the week
- Top 3 priorities for the following week
- Key metrics: conversion rate per device, bounce rate,
recurring drop-off points
----------------------------------------
AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT LANGUAGE
Our website is in Italian. Italian language skills are NOT required
- you will mainly focus on:
- Visual behaviors (click, scroll, hover, exit)
- Navigation patterns (paths, drop-offs)
- Technical performance (loading, errors, mobile vs desktop)
- Visual structure and layout (hierarchy, contrast, CTA)
For text sections you can use Google Translate. What we need is
your analytical and e-commerce eye, not translation.
----------------------------------------
OUR STANDARDS (please read carefully)
We are a premium brand and our standards are high. To be fully
transparent:
We DO NOT want generic blog advice ("add trust badges", "make the
button bigger") - we want observations based on the DATA you see
in our recordings
We DO NOT accept reports without concrete examples, timestamps,
or screenshots
We DO NOT accept people who slow us down or can't work independently
We DO NOT accept low quality or copy-paste from templates
We are looking for someone with real CRO/UX experience on Shopify,
able to observe critically and propose intelligent solutions
Our team is a blast: friendly, supportive, will guide you through
onboarding and will always be available for support and feedback
----------------------------------------
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
MUST HAVE:
- Real experience with session recording tools (Microsoft Clarity,
Hotjar, FullStory, Lucky Orange or similar)
- Real understanding of e-commerce logics and conversion funnels
(homepage > product > cart > checkout)
- Ability to read heatmaps and interpret them correctly
- Familiarity with Shopify (typical store structure, checkout,
common apps)
- Analytical thinking: ability to distinguish an anomaly from a
real pattern
- Prioritization skills: out of 20 issues seen, knowing which 3
have real revenue impact
- Good written English (asynchronous communication via
reports in English)
- Reliability on report deadlines
NICE TO HAVE:
- Background in CRO, UX research, or e-commerce analytics
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 and e-commerce events
- Knowledge of A/B testing (Google Optimize, VWO, Convert)
- Experience with Shopify Plus or high-volume stores
- Knowledge of conversion psychology principles (Cialdini,
Nielsen Norman, Baymard)
----------------------------------------
HOW TO APPLY
Please send a message including:
1. The word ANCHOR at the beginning
2. A short introduction about yourself (3-5 sentences)
3. A brief presentation of your professional experience: how many
years you have been doing this work, what type of clients/stores
you have analyzed in the past, which tools you have the most
experience with, and what concrete results you have achieved
4. Which session recording tools you currently use and for how long
5. Confirmation that you are available to deliver 4 reports per
week (3 bi-daily + 1 weekly) following our structure
We will reply to qualified candidates within 5 days with a small
paid test ($10) before any final decision: we will give you
limited access to our real recordings and ask you for a sample
mini-report.
Looking forward to meeting our new crew member!
