About The Laundry Lady
The Laundry Lady is a fast-growing Australian business operating across multiple entities and multiple countries. We're looking for a sharp, experienced accountant who can hit the ground running and take genuine ownership of our finance function — someone who doesn't need their hand held and takes pride in clean, accurate books.

The Role
This is a hands-on senior accounting and bookkeeping role covering multiple entities across multiple currencies and jurisdictions. You'll work directly with the head of finance and be responsible for keeping our financials accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready.
We're flexible on hours and open to part-time or full-time depending on the right candidate. What matters most is quality of work and reliability. This is an ongoing long term role.

What You'll Be Doing
Full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities
Bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable
Multi-currency transaction management across multiple countries
BAS, GST,preparation and payroll compliance for Australian entities
Month-end close, financial statements, and management reporting
Cash flow tracking and forecasting
Maintaining clean, organised records in Xero
Assisting with integrating out purpose built software into Xero
Liaising with customers, suppliers, external accountants and advisors as needed

What We're Looking For
5+ years of accounting experience working with Australian businesses
Xero expertise — you should know it inside and out
Interest in different softwares such as Dext, Shopify, Stripe etc.
Experience managing multiple entities simultaneously
Solid understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements (BAS, GST, PAYG)
Comfortable working with multiple currencies and international transactions
CPA or equivalent accounting qualification preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently
Strong written English and clear communication
Reliable internet connection and a professional home setup
