Drive carrier growth by building lasting relationships with owner-operators and small fleets. Remote-friendly with occasional travel.
As a Carrier Sales Agent, you will be responsible for acquiring new carrier accounts and growing relationships with active carriers on the 123Loadboard platform. You'll act as a trusted advisor — understanding the challenges owner-operators and small fleets face finding consistent loads and reducing empty miles — and demonstrate how 123Loadboard solves those problems. This role spans the full sales cycle from cold outreach to onboarding, with a focus on new account acquisition.
Job duties -
Prospect and reach out to owner-operators (1–3 trucks) and small fleets to build relationships that result in increased carrier activations on the platform.
Independently manage the full sales cycle from discovery and qualification through to account activation.
Contact prospective carriers through cold calls,
Host web meetings and conduct live product demos, showcasing how the platform helps carriers find loads and cut empty miles.
Evaluate inbound interest and collaborate with product and operations teams to align carrier needs with platform capabilities.
Occasionally attend industry events, trucking expos, and trade shows to build brand presence and source new leads.
Job responsibilities -
Serve as a brand advocate for 123Loadboard, ready to make the case for the platform in any conversation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with newly acquired and existing carrier accounts to drive platform engagement and retention.
Proactively identify upsell and expansion opportunities within the existing carrier base (e.g., premium tools, additional fleet seats).
Collaborate with internal teams to align carrier feedback with product priorities and business development strategy.
Stay current on trucking industry trends, rate environments, and competitor offerings (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) to sharpen positioning.
Maintain accurate pipeline records and activity logs in CRM to support forecasting and performance reporting. Close to 200 dials per day.
