I run a family?friendly hunting and Western outdoor channel called “Jefe’s Adventures.” I’m looking for a long?term video editor who loves story and wants to grow with the channel.
What you’ll do (starting phase):
Edit one long?form YouTube video per week, fifteen?plus minutes
From that same edit, create:
One main cut for YouTube
One main cut for
One vertical short for
One vertical short for YouTube Shorts / TikTok
While you edit, actively look for short?form
What you’ll do later (growth phase):
Be able to edit at least two long?form videos per week so we can build a buffer and stay ahead on releases
Continue pulling out short?form clips from those long videos
Style and values:
Hunting / Western outdoor lifestyle content
Clean and family?friendly: no swearing, no weird or gory close?ups
Focus on real stories: the mental game, the grind, the family side, wins and losses, not just kill shots
Skills that matter:
Strong sense of storytelling: you can take scattered clips and make a clear, engaging episode
Very strong audio skills: clean voices, good levels, and sound that keeps people watching
Comfortable with hunting and outdoor lingo (or willing to learn it fast)
Can keep pacing tight without losing the real, laid?back vibe
Basic color, sound, and titles that fit the Western/outdoor feel
Bonus (not required): you can suggest thumbnail ideas or simple thumbnail designs
