JOB OVERVIEW

**Video Editor for 7-Figure Businesses**

Organic Client Engine is a B2B marketing services company. We work with established 7 and 8-figure online businesses, coaches, consultants, agencies, and info product founders who are already winning, to build their YouTube channels, personal brands, and their business overall to help them drive real revenue, not just vanity metrics.

We're hiring a full-time video editor to join our editing pipeline. This is not a freelance gig or a one-off project role. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us for the long haul, build expertise across our client roster over years, and take on more responsibility as the team scales.

**The work**

This role covers four connected formats.

**1. Long-form YouTube videos (10 to 25 minutes).** Scripted, value-heavy videos built around frameworks, case studies, and direct teaching. Every video runs through our proprietary scripting system, which means you're cutting from tight, structured scripts with built-in hooks, proof elements, and pacing markers, not loose ramble that you have to save in post. Research, scripting, and packaging are all handled upstream, so your job is to take fully prepared raw footage and a finished script and turn it into a video that holds attention from the first frame to the last.

**2. Short-form clips cut from the long-form videos.** Every long-form video gets repurposed into multiple Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikToks. You'll identify the strongest 30 to 90 second ---------- nts, reframe them vertically, and edit them as standalone clips with captions and pacing tuned for short-form.

**3. Dedicated short-form content.** Separate from the repurposed clips, our clients also shoot original short-form content. You'll edit these from scratch as standalone vertical videos.

**4. Short-for ---------- ta ads.** For clients running paid, you'll edit short-form video ads for Instagram and Facebook. These are direct-response paid creative, which means hook-first structure, fast pacing, clear CTAs, and visual treatments built specifically to perform in the feed against a cold audience. Volume varies by client, but this is a real part of the role.

You need to be sharp at long-form retention editing, short-form repurposing, dedicated short-form production, and Meta ad creative.

**A typical week**

Across the editing pipeline, we have roughly 4 to 8 long-form videos in flight at any given time, plus the short-form derivatives cut from those long-forms, dedicated short-form edits, and Meta ad creative for clients running paid. Your personal load will typically be 2 to 4 long-form edits per week plus the associated short-form work, depending on revision cycles and client mix.

You'll report directly to our lead editor and pipeline manager, who runs the day-to-day editing operation, manages handoffs, reviews your work, and is your point of contact for questions, feedback, and revisions. You're part of a structured team with clear briefs, packaging direction, and feedback loops at every step.

**The standard we're hiring against**

Here are two sample videos that represent the quality bar.

Sample 1: ----------

Sample 2: ----------

You need to be able to edit at this level on day one and push past it over time. If you watch these and think you can match or beat them, we want to talk. If they feel out of reach, this probably isn't the right role.

**What you'll actually do**

Cut long-form videos for retention with pacing, B-roll, jump cuts, pattern interrupts, and visual variety so the video earns the next 30 seconds, every 30 seconds.

Pull the strongest ---------- nts from each long-form and rebuild them as vertical short-form clips for Instagram and YouTube Shorts.

Edit dedicated short-form videos from scratch with hooks, captions, pacing, and visual treatment that performs on Reels and Shorts.

Edit short-for ---------- ta ads for Instagram and Facebook. Direct-response creative built to hook a cold audience in the first second and drive action.

Build clean, on-brand graphics and lower thirds that match each client's visual system.

Color grade and mix audio to a high standard. Nothing tinny, nothing inconsistent, nothing distracting.

Maintain organized Premiere Pro projects with proper bin structure, color labels, nested sequences, and naming conventions, so handoffs and revisions are clean and your work doesn't break the pipeline.

Use AI tooling to move faster without dropping quality. We're an AI-powered production operation, and editors who actively use tools like Descript, Runway, ElevenLabs, AI captioning, and AI-assisted B-roll workflows have a meaningful edge here. If you're still doing everything manually in 2026, this isn't the right role.

Hit deadlines. Our clients publish on a schedule and we don't miss them.

Take feedback and iterate quickly. Most videos go through one or two rounds of revisions before approval.

**What we need from you**

This is a full-time role. We need someone whose primary work is with us, not splitting time across multiple agencies or stacking freelance clients on the side. If you're looking for a side gig or a project-by-project arrangement, this isn't it.

A long-term mindset. We're building this team for years, not months. The right person sees this as their next chapter, not a stopgap.

Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro. After Effects and Photoshop are a plus.

Working knowledge of AI editing tools. You don't need to be an expert, but you should already be using AI in your workflow and excited to push further.

A portfolio that demonstrates all four formats. We want to see at least 5 long-form YouTube edits with B-roll, graphics, and retention editing, plus short-form clips cut from longer videos, dedicated short-form content, and short-for ---------- ta ads, with several examples of each short-form format. If your portfolio only shows some of the four, you're not the fit.

Proof you actually worked on the videos you're showing us. A behind-the-scenes screenshot of your Premiere timeline, a credit on the video description, a Loom walking through your edit decisions, or a direct reference we can verify. We get a lot of portfolios that don't hold up to scrutiny, so this matters.

At least 4 hours of daily overlap with US business hours, roughly 9am to 5pm Eastern. Outside that window is fine for the rest of your day.

Reliable internet and a workstation that can handle 4K editing without crashing.

Clear written English. You'll be communicating with our team daily in Slack and ClickUp.

**What you get**

A real career, not a gig. Full-time, stable, with a team that's building something for the long term.

A documented production system. We have a proprietary scripting framework, a lead editor managing the pipeline, account managers handling clients, and a clear playbook for how every video moves from idea to publish. You're plugging into structure, not building it from scratch.

Steady, predictable work. We run on monthly retainers with our clients, which means your pipeline isn't feast-or-famine.

Clear creative direction. You're not guessing what the client wants. Briefs, scripts, and packaging are locked before footage hits your timeline.

A front-row seat to high-ticket marketing. You'll see how 7 and 8-figure businesses actually run their content, paid, and brand operations. That exposure is worth a lot if you're paying attention.

Room to grow. We're scaling the editing team and promoting from within. Strong editors move into senior roles or take on more responsibility across the editing pipeline as we expand.

Compensation discussed during the application process.

**How to apply**

Send the following.

A link to your portfolio showing examples of all four formats. We want to see long-form YouTube edits, short-form clips cut from long-form, dedicated short-form content, and short-for ---------- ta ads.

Proof you actually edited the videos. Timeline screenshot, video credit, Loom walkthrough, or a reference we can contact.

If your portfolio passes our review, we'll reach out with a paid test project. The test project is how we evaluate fit beyond the portfolio. Strong test projects move into a full interview, and from there we make hiring decisions.

No cover letter, no resume needed at this stage. Just the portfolio and the proof.
