Hypetribe Asia is hiring a Video Editor / Graphic Designer (ideally one person who does both) to join one of our portfolio brands or agencies.
We're a venture studio running viral organic content and high-converting UGC-style D2C Meta ads for US and international brands. This is not a trainee role, we're looking for someone who's already made organic channels go viral through editing, or driven real conversion numbers on paid ads, and can walk into our team and tell us why things work.
If you've worked with US-based companies, sat through enough client feedback loops to have your own strong POV on what scrolls past vs. what stops the scroll, keep reading.
What You'll Actually Do
-Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) for viral organic and paid ad performance
-Design static ads, thumbnails, and social graphics across our portfolio brands
-Cut UGC-style D2C Meta ads from raw creator footage (hook-forward, conversion-driven)
-Bring your own POV on hooks, pacing, captions, and visual trends — we want your taste, not just your hands
-Teach the team what you've learned from past US-client work about what converts and what goes viral
-Collaborate with our creative directors, producers, and media buyers across time zones
-Iterate fast based on performance data (you'll actually see the numbers on your work most agencies don't show you this)
-Working knowledge of AI tools in your daily workflow — you're already using them to move faster, not resisting them. Think: generative image tools (Midjourney, Nano Banana, Higgsfield, Flux), AI video tools (Runway, Kling, Sora, Veo), AI audio (ElevenLabs, Suno), and AI-assisted editing
Nice to Have
-Motion graphics / After Effects template building
-Color grading experience (DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Lumetri)
-Experience editing for health, wellness, beauty, or D2C consumer brands
-Understanding of Meta Ads Manager basics (you don't need to buy, but you should know what the media buyer is asking for)
-Basic copywriting instinct for captions and on-screen text
Who This Is NOT For
-Entry-level editors looking for their first remote gig
-People who want step-by-step briefs with no creative input expected
-Anyone who hasn't worked with international clients before
-Editors who've never seen performance data on their own work
