With over 15 years in business, the dealership offers a wide inventory of pre-owned vehicles and operates a Buy Here Pay Here in-house financing model, managing its own loan portfolio directly. The team is small, close-knit, and built on trust, accountability, and operational excellence.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring on behalf of a U.S.-based auto dealership seeking a highly organized and experienced Virtual Accountant to manage all accounting functions from start to finish. This person will work directly with the Owner and serve as the financial backbone of the business — ensuring that every transaction is recorded accurately, all accounts are reconciled, and the company’s financial operations run smoothly. This is a full-time, remote role based in the Philippines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage all accounting functions end-to-end, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting
2. Review, verify, and reconcile all employee transactions and expense records
3. Process and record customer payments, vendor invoices, and internal transactions accurately and on time
4. Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations to ensure books are accurate and up to date
5. Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records at all times
6. Prepare financial summaries, reports, and statements for Owner review
7. Identify and flag discrepancies, errors, or irregularities proactively
8. Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of compensation records
9. Manage QuickBooks Online — including data entry, categorization, reconciliation, and reporting
10. Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy across financial operations
REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a full-cycle accounting or finance role
3. Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online — this is a hard requirement
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation processes, and financial reporting
5. High attention to detail with a zero-error mindset
6. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
7. Reliable internet connection and ability to communicate during U.S. Eastern business hours
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in automotive, dealership, or retail business environments
2. Familiarity with Buy Here Pay Here or in-house financing accounting processes
3. Experience working remotely with U.S.-based clients
