SV Chess Academy is a growing chess academy in Santa Clara, CA serving kids and families across the San Francisco Bay Area — and we are expanding fast.
At SV Chess Academy, we believe chess is more than just a game — it is a tool for building focus, confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that last a lifetime. Everything we post online must reflect that mission.

We are looking for a creative, driven Social Media Manager to grow our Instagram and Facebook presence and help us connect with Bay Area parents who want the best for their kids. This is a part-time role to start with real growth potential as we scale.

What you will do:

Create and post engaging content — photos, graphics, Reels, and stories
Edit short videos and Reels (video editing is a must)
Respond to comments and DMs professionally and warmly
Plan and schedule content consistently every week
Track engagement and suggest improvements monthly

What we already have:

An active student community to create content around
A clear brand and mission focused on kids and families

What we are looking for:

Proven experience managing Instagram and Facebook accounts — portfolio of at least 2 accounts required
Strong video editing skills for Reels — CapCut, Premiere, or similar
Excellent English writing for captions and community management
Genuine curiosity about chess — you don't need to be a player but you need to love learning our world
Self-starter who plans ahead, posts consistently, and takes ownership of their work

Compensation & growth:

Start: $6/hour, 5–10 hours per week
Increases to $8/hour after 3 months based on results
Potential to grow into a larger role as the academy expands across the Bay Area
