Two non-negotiables. Read before applying:
1. You must have a proven track record of working Mountain Time hours, 8 AM–5 PM (Denver, Colorado), Monday through Friday. Not "willing to try." Not "flexible." A real history of working these hours consistently. If you can't show that, don't apply.
2. You must have strong English speaking and comprehension skills. You'll be writing captions, posting content, and communicating with our team daily. If your English isn't strong, this role isn't for you.
About the role
We're a fast-growing medical and health-education brand in the GLP-1 and metabolic health space. We produce a high volume of long-form content — YouTube videos, coaching calls, and trainings — and we need one person to own turning that footage into short-form clips with compelling hooks across two lanes:
Curated short content — the best
A dedicated clips channel — a separate, high-volume YouTube channel built entirely from cutdowns of our long-form library (Coaching Calls & Patient Program Intro’s w/ Dr Jones)
This is not a task-based VA role. We're hiring a content editor with a creator's instinct: someone who can watch an hour of footage and immediately know which clippable
What you'll do
- Watch 40–90 minute YouTube videos, livestreams, and coaching call replays
- Identify the strongest clip opportunities — strong hooks, curiosity gaps, surprising or contrarian
- Cut and edit those clips into standalone short-form videos that make sense to a viewer who's never seen the source
- Construct hooks creatively — pull a hook line from one
- Add captions, on-screen text, light graphics, zooms, pattern interrupts, and sound design
- Write the caption and hashtags for each post
- Post directly to TikTok (and YouTube Shorts if assigned)
- Prepare Instagram Reels for handoff to our US-based poster (Instagram requires a domestic poster — you won't post there)
- Take ownership of the TikTok page over time — track what's working, propose adjustments, help us grow
Some clips may need a 10–15 second hook re-shoot from Dr. Jones. If that's what makes the clip work, ask — he's open to it!! The goal is to save him time and squeeze every drop of value out of long-form content that's already been recorded.
You're a great fit if:
You already clip livestreams or long-form content professionally and can show clips where the hook, pacing, and captions clearly drive attention
You think like a creator — you instinctively spot the myth-bust, the emotional punch, the
You can operate at two speeds: high-care curation for the main brand, and reliable steady output for the clips channel, without dropping quality on either
You're fluent in U.S. short-form culture: you know what hooks land with an American audience
You're comfortable learning a new niche (GLP-1 medications, peptides, metabolic health). You do not need a medical background — we'll train you with dedicated resources and AI tutors. But you must be willing to learn the material well enough to cut it responsibly
You have judgment about claims. Our content is health education. When a cut could change the meaning of what was said, or make a claim sound stronger than intended, you flag it instead of shipping it. We'll teach you our guardrails — we need someone who naturally errs toward checking
You take direct feedback and implement it fast
- Nice to have -
Experience editing for health, fitness, medical, or coaching brands; experience running or growing a YouTube clips/highlights channel; familiarity with YouTube titles, thumbnails, and SEO.
What we provide
A consistent stream of long-form content, clear brand guidelines and style examples, full training on our niche and our editorial guardrails, and long-term full-time work for the right person. We're hiring a partner, not a one-off gig.
Details
Full-time, remote, long-term. Open to international candidates with strong English and a portfolio of U.S.-market short-form work. Some overlap with U.S. business hours preferred.
How to apply
Please
1. A short note on why this role interests you and your experience repurposing long-form into shorts
2. Links to 3–10 of your best short-form edits — ideally talking-head, educational, or storytelling content. If you've run or contributed to a clips/highlights channel, link it
3. The tools you edit with, and roughly how many clips you'd produce from one hour of footage at your quality level
4. Your desired monthly rate for full-time work and your time zone
Applications without portfolio links won't be reviewed.
