Position Overview
We are seeking multiple candidates to join our fast-paced DME team. Roles include DME Intake Coordinators and Respiratory Therapists (RTs) focused on patient compliance and education. All positions require DME experience (respiratory equipment preferred) and working knowledge of Medicare Part B coverage & documentation guidelines. Experience with Brightree software is essential.

Common Requirements (All Positions)
• DME experience required – respiratory equipment preferred, but any DME accepted
• Knowledge of Medicare Part B coverage – must understand coverage criteria and documentation requirements
• Familiarity with Medicare documentation guidelines for DME coverage
• Brightree software experience (in any capacity – intake, billing, or clinical documentation)
• Attention to detail – critical to prevent order and billing errors
• Ability to maintain accurate records, document all interactions, and ensure proper data entry
• Teamwork, prioritization, and efficiency in a high-volume setting

Role 1: DME Intake Coordinator (Non-Clinical)
Key Responsibilities
• Process incoming referrals from CRMs, faxes, and calls in a fast-paced environment
• Review documentation for Medicare compliance and verify insurance information
• Obtain authorizations as needed
• Contact doctors’ offices to secure missing information/documentation
• Coordinate equipment delivery with patients/families
• Add patient information to Brightree for delivery and billing; save all documentation to account
• Maintain internal delivery tracking report
• Handle incoming calls from patients, doctors’ offices, and referral sources
• Manage call volume efficiently while providing excellent customer service
• Multi-task and prioritize effectively across multiple platforms

Role 2: Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Compliance & Patient Support
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor patients on PAP devices daily via compliance software
• Maintaining contact with patient on Oxygen to follow up with current use doctor's appointment for continued use
• Document all patient and physician interactions in compliance software and Brightree
• Make outbound calls and take inbound calls to address mask/equipment issues, troubleshooting, and compliance barriers
• Obtain compliance download reports, input into billing software (Brightree), and submit to referring physicians
• Contact patients to ensure follow-up physician appointments are scheduled and met
• Follow up with physician offices for face-to-face visit notes
• Coordinate patient resupply issues with PAR and resupply teams
• Act as patient representative to ensure documentation and compliance standards are met for therapy success
• Educate patients on cleaning, maintenance, and proper use of PAP equipment per prescription
• Contact doctors’ offices to secure missing information/documentation for all other orders
Required Credentials & Experience
• Currently licensed Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum 1 year hospital or clinical experience
• Minimum 1 year in an environment communicating verbally with English-speaking patients (preferably healthcare delivery)
• Familiarity with sleep apnea, HME and related supplies preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and internet browsing
